00:00I was skeptical when I first started watching the first five minutes.
00:04Okay.
00:05Then as I'm getting into it, I know it's good because I don't know where to put my finger.
00:12The film is so well structured that you really have no clue who to make a villain during your process.
00:24And learning of him, did you feel like he bent left, right?
00:27Was it a straight path?
00:28I mean, nothing is a straight path when it comes to getting to know the character and why.
00:35And the real Sandeep was very kind in letting me ask him all sorts of these questions.
00:40And he was very vulnerable, I think, in a way that I don't think most of us like to be.
00:45So a couple of things made sense to me.
00:48Like, first of all, the real Sandeep still practices medicine here in L.A.
00:53He has a really small office and a very small patient list.
00:57And when you go to his office, you see these receptionists, humans, who actually answer the phone when you call.
01:02I don't know about you, but if I'm trying to make an appointment with my doctor, it's a fucking AI
01:06nonsense thing that I got to go through or a computer.
01:10And they're like, our first appointment is in four and a half weeks.
01:13Would that be OK?
01:13Because one or two, I'll tell you, you get the push.
01:16So I'm like looking at the real Sandeep going, still, in 2026, you have humans who are answering the phone,
01:22right?
01:22So if you think 20 years ago, it wasn't weird that he would get invited by a patient to go
01:28to a pride party, for example.
01:29It wasn't weird to get invited to his patient's kids' sweet 16s or bar mitzvahs or any of that.
01:36So that was number one.
01:37I'm like, OK, I see the reason why you went.
01:40Why would you get wasted and make out with your patient?
01:43That is a line that I'm just like, it doesn't matter how much alcohol I've had.
01:47There are certain things that I just know that I shouldn't do.
01:50And his answer to things like that in real life were fascinating, where like he had been to the Abbey,
01:56that bar, plenty of times with his friends and felt relatively invisible all the times he went.
02:01Like nobody was coming up to talk to him.
02:03He had a perfectly nice time with his friends, but it's not like he met any new people.
02:07Suddenly, he's there after an entire day of drinking with this famous patient of his who he's there in a
02:13friend capacity, and people are coming up to him nonstop to talk.
02:17And he said that was a feeling and a high that he felt that he wasn't expecting to feel.
02:22So again, that goes back to like insecurity, vulnerability.
02:26Did he do something that was morally wrong?
02:29Obviously.
02:29Did he do anything illegal?
02:31Not really.
02:32So like, but it's not a yes or no, right?
02:35And the whole movie is not a binary.
02:37And that's what I loved about bringing that character to life.
02:40And that's what I loved about bringing that character to life.
02:40All back.
02:41And that's what I loved.
02:44So like, I got to see the character to the world.
