00:00Let's get to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
00:04They played the Commanders.
00:05Now, John, it looked like this was going to be another blowout game.
00:08It looked like, hey, oh, Commanders, I figured they would lose by this much.
00:12They're not a good football team, especially after what happened the last couple weeks with them.
00:17The 49ers led 23-3 at one point, and they ended up winning 23-17.
00:22They almost had the game tied, but a face mask pulled that one away.
00:27So the Niners are 6-0, but they may have lost Mike Evans for a while with an Achilles injury.
00:33Now, we don't know the extent of it yet, but it didn't look good as he walked off.
00:37I don't think it's torn, but again, I've thought other things about other injuries, too.
00:41So we'll have to see about that.
00:43But, John, your thoughts on the Niners escaping to go to 6-0?
00:48You know, I thought the broadcast did a great job of explaining why Brock Purdy is the greatest quarterback
00:55to ever pick up a football.
00:57I can't believe they let other people on the field with him.
01:01It's, frankly, it's amazing how statistically now they can twist anything to make people seem like Tom Brady.
01:11Hey, I just found it laughable that they were trying to compare his statistics to Joe Montana and Steve Young.
01:19Guys with Super Bowls, guys with MVPs.
01:23Before Tom Brady, Joe Montana was the greatest quarterback ever.
01:27And now they're statistically, because he freshly qualified for the statistic, saying,
01:33oh, this guy's the greatest San Francisco quarterback ever.
01:36It's like, bro, chill out with all this.
01:38We don't really need this.
01:40And my energy, by the way.
01:42I was going to come in here with the energy for Jayden Daniel, but then I remembered that stat.
01:46But let me get to Jayden Daniel before I forget, OK?
01:50You go full screen for this one.
01:51Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:54So in the Wizard of Oz, OK, which one went to get a brain?
02:00Which one was he?
02:02Was it the Tin Man or the Scarecrow?
02:05It was the Scarecrow.
02:07No, the Tin Man got a heart.
02:08OK, so Jayden Daniel is the straw man from the Wizard of Oz.
02:14He got more talent than anything.
02:18Any quarterback, I would put him up talent against anybody.
02:22But if you ask him to do something that requires him to actually think on the football field,
02:28buddy, he going to let you down.
02:29Whether it was last week, which was unexplainable and unacceptable,
02:34that's the one that got your coach fired.
02:36Then you come back this week with two opportunities to win the game.
02:39Both opportunities.
02:41You don't get a throw off.
02:42How do you get sacked on the Hail Mary against a three-man rush?
02:47Didn't even get the ball off.
02:50So unfortunately, Dan Quinn, Jayden Daniels got everything but a brain.
02:56Because some of the things he does, they just don't make any sense.
02:59They don't make sense.
03:01He's a great player.
03:02But I always wondered, why would you take Caleb Williams over him?
03:10This much.
03:11This much.
03:13This is where the brain is.
03:14When they tell you the game is like 90% all up here.
03:19Mental, yeah.
03:20That's where he's failing at.
03:22He is failing there dramatically.
03:25Right in front of our eyes.
03:27Do you think that's a product of the coaching he's had so far?
03:31Do you think that's just him being the type of quarterback?
03:34Do you just think that's the quarterback he is?
03:35Because we're seeing Bryce Young, right?
03:37We're seeing Bryce Young kind of figure it out right now after the first year.
03:42And then the second year got better.
03:44This year, it looks like he's starting to find his footing a little bit.
03:47It didn't look good early, but he started to kind of grow with Dave Canales.
03:50Now, they're not really giving Jayden Daniels a lot of great coaches here.
03:55Dan Quinn is probably going to be fired at some point this season, if not in the offseason.
04:00So do you think it's just him?
04:03Or do you think it's the coaching staff not mentoring him the right way?
04:07Or not giving him the utility or the utilities to go be a better quarterback than he is?
04:11Right now, because you, John, you and I have been on the show and we've talked about it.
04:15Like, Jayden Daniels has had some good games, but just the mental lapses that he has.
04:20He was good tonight!
04:21Right, he was good tonight, but the mental lapses at the end of these games, I have no explanation for.
04:26And I don't know who that's on.
