00:14They progressed all the way to winning a championship.
00:16They went from, you know, playoff, they went to conference champions,
00:19or they went to the conference championship games.
00:22Then they ended up winning the championship.
00:24Do you think they're still going to be around that for a while?
00:28Yeah, I hate to say it, man, because, you know, you're my buddy,
00:30and I'm sorry that you're a Knicks fan, but I'm not super high on this team this year.
00:33I think it's great that you get to the, you know, to the finish line last year.
00:37Mike Brown, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, if you're a Knicks fan,
00:39you know what I'm talking about.
00:41Got them all across the line last year.
00:44Jalen Brunson was just incredible in the playoffs all season long,
00:46and then obviously finish it off with the cherry on top, burying the Spurs.
00:50But I'm worried about this team this year.
00:52They lost Mitchell Robinson.
00:53That was a nice depth piece for them.
00:54They're obviously, you know, a Jalen Brunson ankle roll away
00:58from really struggling offensively.
01:00And the whole cat contract situation is also something that's leaning,
01:04that is kind of sitting over this team's head,
01:06that little rain cloud going into the season,
01:08even though the vibes are high lifting the banners.
01:10So I'm a little concerned.
01:11Do I think they're still going to be a good team?
01:13Of course, they have championship pedigree now.
01:15They have a lot of really good players on this team.
01:17Their roster has a bit of depth that we haven't even really seen.
01:19The likes of Tyler Colick's probably going to get some more playing time.
01:22Obviously, you know, what Jordan Clarkson's able to do for this team.
01:25You know, Jose Alvarado able to make some impact plays, too.
01:28So they got some pieces still that were there last season.
01:31But I'm just a bit concerned because there's, you know, Dan, you know this in sports.
01:34You win the championship, what automatically happens?
01:37Target goes on your back, right?
01:38We saw it with the NBA.
01:39I mean, there's been a lot of parody over the last 10 years,
01:42which is why we love following the NBA now.
01:44There's not been a back-to-back champion in quite a long time.
01:47So the Thunder found out last season how hard it is to go back-to-back,
01:50the Celtics the year prior, the Nuggets, et cetera.
01:52So the Knicks are going to have that same system the entire season.
01:56They're always going to come into a particular away arena
01:59where anybody going into the garden is already ready to play some ball.
02:02But now they got that extra, oh, this team won a championship last year.
02:05I want to make sure to really give them the business.
02:07So overall, I'm a bit worried about this squad as a whole.
02:10But if Jalen Brunson plays all-pro basketball once again,
02:12and if he is healthy all season long,
02:14you can't count him out of the Eastern Conference for sure.
