00:13Welcome to MojoPlays and today we are locking in on the games that are only available on Sony's
00:18newest console. This is every PS5 exclusive game ranked. If it started as PS5 and moved
00:24to PC it doesn't count so don't come here for Returnal. If it was on PS5 but also PS4 it
00:30doesn't
00:30count so don't come here for The Last of Us Part 2. If it was not on PS5 at all
00:34and just on the SNES
00:35in 1994 it doesn't count so don't come here for Earthworm Jim. Let's go. Before we continue we
00:41publish content all week long so be sure to subscribe and ring the bell to get notified of
00:46our latest videos. Code Violet.
00:55There is a very obvious audience for a game where a woman runs through dark hallways while
01:00dinosaurs try to eat her and Code Violet aimed directly at it. It wasn't me I swear. On paper
01:05this sounded like the Dino Crisis comeback Capcom refused to make. In practice the only thing that
01:10felt prehistoric was the gameplay. Combat feels awkward, exploration drags, technical problems
01:15pile up and the horror rarely lands with much force. Critics responded about as warmly as a raptor at
01:21feeding time handing it a 29 meta score. Which I know doesn't always matter but in this instance
01:25it's very accurate. It remains a genuine PS5 exclusive probably because nobody else wants it now.
01:41Timothy's Night
01:48Some exclusives become system sellers. Timothy's Night became the sort of game people discover
01:53while scrolling through the PlayStation Store at 1am avoiding going to bed. Timothy is a gangster who
01:58controls Little Fish City until aliens arrive and rudely interrupt the criminal lifestyle.
02:03From there the game throws together open-world driving, shooting, superpowers, side missions
02:07and surprisingly heavy DualSense support. The problem is that none of it feels particularly good.
02:12Movement can be clunky, gunplay lacks punch, enemies love appearing behind you like unpaid parking
02:18inspectors and the whole experience leaves you thinking who approved this? The game has undeniable
02:23personality but it also barely scratched the mind of gamers. Released in 2021, it's still one of the
02:29PS5's strangest true exclusives.
02:39Destruction All-Stars
02:47Sony clearly imagined Destruction All-Stars becoming a huge multiplayer thing, which now feels
02:53really laughable. The ingredients were loud enough, colourful heroes, smashed cars, giant arenas, parkour
02:59and the ability to leap out of one wreck before stealing another. For a few matches that chaos can
03:04be genuinely entertaining. Then the bigger problem appears there's nothing to hold the experience
03:08together. The characters never became stars and matches often feel like everybody's crashing into
03:14things while waiting for the fun to officially begin. Sony removed the game from sale in May 2026,
03:19with server support ending in November. So sure, it's exclusive, but if I'd made this video in a month,
03:25it might not have even been worth mentioning.
03:34Neptunia Reverse
03:36You're all so stubborn. Why don't you all give up already?
03:40Trying to explain exactly what Neptunia Reverse is may require a whiteboard, but I've only got a YouTube.
03:46It is essentially a new version of Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 1, which was already a remake of the
03:52original Hyperdimension Neptunia. Stay with me. This PS5 edition improves the visuals, expands the playable roster,
03:58and even adds fishing. Woo!
04:00The actual adventure remains very traditional. Turn-based battles, anime comedy, endless references to the game industry,
04:06and enough fourth wall jokes to demolish the back rooms. Critics landed in the middle, but it's by no stretch
04:12bad.
04:12It is incredibly niche, however, completely ridiculous, and somehow still a genuine PS5-only release.
04:20Let's get this over with!
04:23R-Type Final 3 Evolved
04:31One wrong move in R-Type Final 3 Evolved, and your tiny spaceship becomes a very expensive firework.
04:38That is basically the agreement you sign when starting an R-Type game. This PS5 release builds on R-Type
04:44Final 2,
04:45bringing over its mountain of content while adding seven new stages, extra features, upgraded visuals,
04:50and even more ships to obsess over. The title makes it sound like a full sequel, but Final 2.5
04:57with extra
04:57violence would probably be more honest. Every enemy pattern matters, positioning is everything,
05:03and finally surviving a brutal section feels really fantastic. It's a surprisingly good PS5 exclusive
05:08shoot-em-up, which we don't have much of on the PS5 exclusives list.
05:19Silent Hill The Short Message
05:31Nobody can complain about the price of Silent Hill The Short Message. Konami released it completely free,
05:37then immediately tested how much frustration people would tolerate for zero dollars. I tolerated a bit,
05:43but it wasn't my favorite Silent Hill. Again, it was free. Anita explores a decaying apartment complex
05:49while confronting bullying, trauma, and some deeply unpleasant supernatural events.
05:54Visually, there are strong moments, and the flower-covered monster is one of the more memorable
05:58creatures the series has produced in years. Unfortunately, the writing sometimes explains
06:03its themes so aggressively that subtlety gets thrown out the window. Just think of it as a free
06:07lesson in corny writing with several extremely stressful corridors.
06:20God of War, Sons of Sparta
06:23Duty Over Death
06:29Before Kratos became gaming's angriest dad, he was apparently busy doing pixel art metroidvania.
06:35God of War, Sons of Sparta, rewinds the timeline to his Spartan training days,
06:39alongside Deimos, swapping huge 3D arenas for side-scrolling combat platforming puzzles and
06:44exploration. It sounds ridiculous until you actually see how naturally the idea works.
06:49There's still plenty of fighting, mythology, and grunting. Everything's just a little smaller now.
06:54The game received a modest 64 Metascore, with many critics finding it solid rather than essential.
06:59And honestly, with today's audience, getting solid but not essential is like getting silver at the Olympics.
07:09Marvel's Wolverine
07:16My name is Nathaniel Essex.
07:21What is your name?
07:22I'm placing this entry firmly in the middle. Mainly because the haters are vocal and the lovers are vocal,
07:28so this way no one can yell at me. Or everyone can yell at me. Dammit.
07:31Marvel's Wolverine is nastier than Insomniac's Spider-Man games, sending Logan through real-world
07:37locations while slicing through enemies with little concern for workplace safety. Mystique, Sabertooth,
07:42and Jean Grey all enter the story, and the whole thing looks spectacular. The bigger criticism is how
07:48often the game insists on helping you. Objective guidance and scent trails became such a talking point
07:53that Insomniac patched in options to reduce some hand-holding.
07:57Combat also starts repeating itself sooner than you'd expect, and then there's the infamous
08:01motorcycle section. With reviews landing around the high 70s, it is a good Wolverine game,
08:06game, but not really an instant classic.
08:22Imagine buying a brand new console, installing several expensive games, then discovering the
08:27tiny free thing already on the machine is one of the best experiences available.
08:32That was Astro's Playroom. Team Asobi built it as a showcase for the DualSense,
08:37but it works just as well as a platformer. It was the first thing I played on my PS5, and
08:41I
08:41loved it. Rain taps through the controller, surfaces have their own textures, triggers push back,
08:47and every area is packed with PlayStation history. The adventure only lasts a few hours,
08:52yet almost none of that time is wasted. Sony included a charming history museum inside every PS5,
08:58but it's better than a museum, because robots and jumping. Yay.
09:08Saros.
09:14Dying in Returnal could feel like losing an entire evening to one badly-timed dodge. Saros keeps House
09:20marks love of enormous projectile storms, but softens that pain with stronger permanent progression.
09:26The action is incredibly fast, weapons feel excellent, and boss fights regularly fill the
09:31screen with enough glowing bullets to qualify as a fireworks display. More importantly, death still
09:36matters, without erasing your sense of progress. Critics love the result, giving it an 87 Metascore.
09:42Returnal eventually reached PC, Saros remains planted on the PS5, or at least for now. I suspect by the
09:48time I write the follow-up to this video, it'll probably be on my desktop.
09:57Demon's Souls.
10:09Before many people even owned a PS5, Demon's Souls was already showing them what the machine could do.
10:14Bluepoint rebuilt Volitaria into a miserable, gorgeous nightmare of towering castles, filthy
10:19tunnels, disgusting creatures, and lighting so good, you almost forget everything once you're dead.
10:25Almost. What matters is that the remake did not sand away the original game's identity.
10:30Combat is still deliberate, death still hurts, and world tendency remains complicated enough to make
10:35perfectly intelligent adults quietly pretend they understand it. I'm not intelligent, so I didn't have
10:40to pretend, I just didn't understand it. Critics love the game, and years later, it's still confined
10:44to the PS5. As a Sony boy, I'm pretty proud of this.
10:56Ghost of Yutai
11:11Revenge is simple. Looking this good while doing it is the complicated part. Ghost of Yutai, or Yotei,
11:18follows Atsu across northern Japan as she hunts the people responsible for destroying her family,
11:23giving Sucker Punch another excuse to create landscapes that constantly tempt you into photo
11:27mode. Compared with Ghost of Tsushima, exploration is a little looser, weapons are more varied,
11:32and the world encourages wandering without covering every hillside in icons. Combat still delivers that
11:38lovely rhythm of parries, dodges, and sudden moments where you briefly convince yourself you could
11:42survive a real sword fight. You could not. For now, calling it a PlayStation exclusive still means
11:47exactly that. Soon it probably won't. Astro Bot
12:03I debated where this would end up on the list, but the raw fact is that nobody cannot enjoy this
12:09game.
12:10That's a lot of double negatives. How about this? This game is the sh**. There we go. Sony spent years
12:16trying to find a mascot who could stand beside Mario. Then a robot wandered in and solved that
12:21problem almost by accident. Astro Bot takes everything charming about Astro's playroom and
12:26blows it up into a full adventure packed with planets, bosses, strange abilities, and ridiculous
12:30amounts of PlayStation history. One minute Astro is climbing with monkey arms. The next,
12:34he's soaking up water as a sponge or visiting a level built around another famous franchise.
12:39The clever part is how quickly everything moves. New ideas appear, make you smile, and disappear
12:44before they can become stale. It is polished, inventive, joyful, and still completely exclusive
12:50to my beautiful spaceship looking PS5.
