00:006001 Filter Cartridges Every Spray Painter Needs
00:04If you spray paint, your cartridge matters more than your gun.
00:08I went through the best deals on 6001 filter cartridges,
00:11the ones every spray painter actually needs, and these 5 stood out.
00:155 is enough to keep a full shop in stock, so let me run through them.
00:20Starting with the box set, this one bundles the 6001, 6002, and 6006 cartridge options
00:26together with a 5 and 11 filter and a 5001 cover, and it fits the 6200, 7502, and 6800 masks.
00:35Around 550, it's the only listing here that lets you grab more than one cartridge type in a single
00:40order, which is handy if you rotate between enamel and lacquer. Almost 5000 sold and a solid 4.7,
00:47the most popular option on this list, and for good reason.
00:50Now this next one is the highest rated of the whole bunch, sitting at a clean 5 stars.
00:56It's an organic Vapor 6001 cartridge with a 5 and 11 cotton filter and a 501 retainer set,
01:02compatible with the 3M 6000 series, and it's just under 8 bucks.
01:07That cotton layer is the part worth knowing about, it catches overspray before the Vapor cartridge does,
01:12so the expensive part of your mask lasts longer.
01:15If you spray a lot of oil-based paint, this is the one to buy.
01:19This is the budget pick.
01:21The 6001 and 6006 respirator cartridge comes as a set with a 5 and 11 cotton filter and a 501
01:28retainer,
01:29and it replaces directly on the 6200, 6800, and 7502 masks.
01:35$4 in change, over 3,500 sold, rated 4.8.
01:40You will not find a cheaper way to keep a mask running, and honestly for most weekend painters
01:45this is plenty.
01:47Here's the widest fit I found.
01:49It's an organic 6001 activated carbon cartridge, and it works across the 6100, 6200, 7501, 7502,
01:586502, and 6800 masks.
02:02790, nearly 3,500 sold, 4.8 stars.
02:07The activated carbon is what soaks up solvent vapor and kills the chemical smell,
02:11so if you spray indoors with poor ventilation, this is the one that makes the air bearable.
02:17Quick tip though, no cartridge protects against oxygen-deficient air,
02:20and you want to double-check that the 6001 organic vapor rating matches the solvents in your paint.
