00:00Nice to meet you, I followed this new edition of X-Factor a bit and we left you at the last minute
00:08call and we find you with a single called De Realizzare, which is born from a deep feeling of isolation.
00:16What does this song represent for you?
00:19For me it represents a really important act of vulnerability, a sort of confession because in my songs I like
00:31much like saying, like confiding a secret to the listener.
00:36It is not a topic that is often talked about, De Realization is also a very delicate topic, so precisely
00:43that's why I decided to give it a voice and it represents a bit of my desire to find someone who can
00:51understand.
00:51So I really hope that at least one person can listen to the piece and identify with the feelings that I describe.
00:59maybe dissociation, which is something that hurts when you don't hear it because you would like to believe the words of people who
01:09They love you, I miss them, but unfortunately I went through this period where I couldn't feel anything
01:16of all this,
01:17if not out of guilt for not being able to perceive affections.
01:24In short, you describe these sensations through a visual image which is that of two plastic seats outside the
01:30'Hotel, why did you choose this particular image to convey what you're saying?
01:35Because I like it a lot, so first of all an image that has been very present in my life because I found myself
01:45often with my parents on holiday and maybe while they were in the hotel room late at night,
01:53I went out and I felt a little bit overcome by this feeling of melancholy, of nostalgia, so I couldn't
02:00give an explanation, I wanted to escape somewhere but I couldn't figure out where,
02:05What was missing, so I sat right outside the hotel. It often happened on these plastic chairs.
02:13and the fact of saying two plastic chairs refers to the lack,
02:17because I'm sitting on one side, but there's nobody on the other side and I think it's a
02:24nice image to make you understand a little how I feel when I say that I miss something undefined
02:29or that I feel a little derealized, a little so alone, derealized.
02:38Let's say you defined speaking openly, telling yourself through music, as the first form of derealization,
02:45so when did you start writing, how do you feel today about having to share your words, your thoughts with
02:52an audience that can now start following you?
02:59Honestly, it's much easier for me to share these feelings with the public rather than with people at home.
03:07which I care so much about,
03:08and it's much more of an act of liberation and I have a much harder time talking about it with those people
03:18that I see every day,
03:20because it's as if they had an image of me and an idea of me already consolidated and therefore every
03:28I'm having a bit of trouble getting into it,
03:31because it's like it limits me a little bit in thinking outside the box, but if someone doesn't know me
03:39personally,
03:40I feel like I can say whatever I want because I have no limits in being able to express myself and in being able to
03:46describe my person,
03:48because there is no real defined idea.
03:51So for me it's actually quite easy to communicate with the public and it's like therapy.
03:59Let's say at X Factor you showed three different performances of yourself, what do you think didn't come out and
04:11what do you want to put on stage now?
04:16So, I definitely think it didn't come out and obviously not having brought an unreleased song,
04:25so not having had the opportunity to make what I write heard,
04:30the piece that for me is the fundamental, the most important, is missing a bit.
04:36So as much as you can also bring your own interpretation, your own interiority on covers, on other people's pieces,
04:46In my opinion, I really need to add this piece now to make the audience feel a little bigger.
04:51what I write and my thoughts in a very direct way, what comes from my head.
04:57So I feel like telling you that I really want to make what I'm writing now heard.
05:04So there is more, let's say, now the motivation to push yourself further prevails or a little bit of disappointment for the
05:14missed opportunity?
05:16It definitely prevails more, I feel very motivated actually, because I have a bit of that desire for redemption that I have
05:24leads to continue.
05:28Luckily it was a much more constructive thing than destructive, because I really want to sing live,
05:35I really want to lock myself in the studio to record new songs,
05:39precisely because on the one hand there is this desire to make music as an end in itself,
05:43and then also a little bit for that desire for redemption and to be able to demonstrate
05:48that I actually write and there is also a whole other side, in short, compared to what I have shown.
05:57What gear do you think went wrong during the last performance or at least before going on stage?
06:08So, during the last performance I feel like saying, I definitely tried to be professional,
06:18However, I managed to complete my performance despite the emotionality,
06:23there was certainly a lot of emotion, a lot of excitement,
06:27Before going on stage I felt much more nervous than the previous two times,
06:34and then above all rightly I found in front of me a human being with his tastes,
06:39with his preferences and already having a very strong assembled team
06:44and in my opinion also suitable for the show that X Factor offers,
06:51In my opinion, yes, he already had people there who really deserved this showcase.
06:59So there was also a very high level discussion of previous performances,
07:05I have to say, a combination of things.
07:08In fact, not only the Ramas, but I think the others too were in a lot of difficulty.
07:13Yes, in fact there were some somewhat controversial eliminations, let's say.
07:21And how do you see the repechage card?
07:26So, it exists, it's a possibility.
07:30I'm looking beyond the program at the moment,
07:36in the sense that it gave me so much,
07:39but I really have the feeling that he gave me everything he could give me
07:44and that now it is more necessary to focus on what I have to say as an artist,
07:52about my identity.
07:53So I much prefer to maybe focus on a song project,
07:59of unreleased songs, rather than working on other covers
08:01or at least reinsert myself into that dynamic.
08:03So I tell you, beyond this talk of the repechage,
08:07I've made complete peace with the fact that a journey outside has now begun.
08:13And by the way, soon, I think, Friday the 23rd, right?
08:18Will you perform live in Milan?
08:20Exactly, exactly, exactly, yes, yes, yes.
08:23Tell us a little about the eve.
08:27Yes, I am very happy because I have the opportunity,
08:34that's exactly what I want to do now,
08:38that is, to go back to hearing people,
08:42to live, to enjoy real life,
08:45because it is the most truly rewarding part for an artist,
08:49perform live and also feel the warmth of the audience,
08:53contact with the public.
08:55So I'm really happy to be able to make this piece heard
09:00to people who may have even seen me in the talent show,
09:05who have seen the episodes,
09:07to be able to make them enter my imagination a little more,
09:12because for now the general public who saw X Factor
09:16he knows me from some covers I've done,
09:19and so now I'm so charged and happy
09:23to be able to perform live with some unreleased songs,
09:25just to show all this missing side
09:28to real people and be able to see them,
09:30to be able to chat with each other.
09:33And by the way, you mentioned that you're continuing to write.
09:36What should we expect for the future besides this live show?
09:40Definitely a project for the future,
09:43maybe an EP with various facets of mine,
09:49and it's something that fascinates me and interests me a lot
09:52it's also maybe trying my hand at more genres,
09:56maybe don't limit myself to just one genre,
09:59but also experiment a little with the basics,
10:02because I would really like to do this experiment
10:05and be able to carry my identity
10:07even on slightly different genres,
10:10and thus offer a catalogue of various shades.
10:14So yeah, I'm writing a lot for myself now.
10:16and I'm slowly starting to try my hand as an author,
10:21because I really like writing for other artists too,
10:24so these are two paths that I would like to follow in parallel.
10:27Friday at midnight, so the 23rd,
10:30Derealize comes out,
10:31which is a single that I care a lot about
10:34and I hope it's a kind of hug
10:37for many people who feel like me,
10:40and I send a greeting
10:43and I invite everyone into my world,
10:46let's say, artistic,
10:48the door is open, really.
