00:00What do you think in Europe and Italy that we do not understand about Southeast Asia?
00:07What is, you know, strengths or particular, you know, characteristics of Thailand and the whole region in general that we
00:17should learn more better?
00:19Well, can I be very frank? I think the world has changed, you know, and Europe is still important.
00:28The West is still important. But people talk about this shift in the balance of power from the West to
00:37the East to the rest.
00:38I'm not saying that the East is better, but I'm just saying that we live in a world where power
00:45is more diffused, growth is more diffused, and Asia is not the same.
00:50Asia, I think, presents opportunities for the EU, Italy to be more engaged.
01:00And we really want to see the EU and Italy, a very important country, more engaged with us, you know,
01:10with us in terms of maintaining the rules-based international order, maintaining the multilateral,
01:16and also trying to, you know, promote our bilateral cooperation. You know, Southeast Asia right now, if you look around
01:25the world, Southeast Asia as it is where there is, you know, the highest growth, economic growth.
01:33This is where new opportunities are opening up. This is where we are developing in a very large-scale way
01:42our infrastructure.
01:43You know, so there's much, a lot of opportunity there, and I think we should really, you know, try to
01:50re-engage, not engage, enhance our engagement. And I think this is to our mutual benefit.
01:55Thank you very much.
