00:03Hey, it's People in 10. Christina Applegate recently got some shocking news from her doctor.
00:09She said, um, congratulations, you don't have MS. Christina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis
00:16in 2021. So as you can imagine, this update came with mixed emotions, especially since she's still
00:23dealing with debilitating symptoms. I've gotten worse in some ways. And so I'm back at square one.
00:32It's also been confusing for Christina because she and her co-host Jamie Lynn Sigler have become,
00:38in her words, the poster children for MS. It's like weird because see, I'm crying again. It's
00:43like, I feel like I let everybody down, you know? No. Apparently 20% of MS is actually misdiagnosed.
00:50Hopefully now, Christina can get some real answers.
00:54Barbara Palvin made her return to the runway this week as a new mom.
00:59I'm feeling great. I think, you know, it's very empowering.
01:02The model said she felt alive as she walked in the Victoria's Secret fashion show on Sunday,
01:07just six weeks after giving birth to her baby girl, Sylvie.
01:11I think the US has to be left to go back. You're only 60. So it's not that big of
01:16a cap.
01:16Ain't that the truth? Barbara also got real about postpartum, comparing motherhood to a rollercoaster.
01:23But she's got her number one cheerleader, husband Dylan Sprouse, supporting her along the way.
01:28So sweet.
01:31And as the Angels hit the catwalk, Vanessa Bryant had the best seat in the house
01:36to watch her daughter Natalia make her BS debut. The proud mom sat right up front,
01:41next to Nicole Kidman, as Natalia strutted her stuff. And when we caught up with Nat backstage,
01:46she told us having mom support made all the difference.
01:50Honestly, it brings so much peace of mind for me, knowing that my mom's going to be in the audience.
01:56She said it took her back to being a little girl at her dance recitals,
02:00which definitely prepared her for the spotlight.
02:05And so is her mama.
02:08Taylor Swift is feeling blue, but not because she was patient zero. The opposite, actually.
02:13The singer channels Cinderella in this enchanting custom Dior gown,
02:18which she wore to the Academy Museum Gala in LA over the weekend.
02:21She wrapped it all up in an embroidered bow and show part jewelry. Nice eyes.
02:27And we see that wedding band too, Mrs. Kelsey.
02:30Later, she swapped into a different blue dress as she performed her hit single from Toy Story 5.
02:38Less than 24 hours later, Tay turned from blue Dior to red Louis Vuitton
02:44to support Travis and the Chiefs as they won against the Chargers.
02:47Wild goals.
02:49And speaking of football, one analyst has some apologizing to do.
02:53NFL Network's Michael Robinson suggested that Eagles QB Jalen Hurts might be using an injury
02:59as an excuse to distance himself from his struggling team.
03:03Then, days later, doctors found deep vein thrombosis and multiple blood clots in both of Jalen's lungs,
03:09which promptly ended his season.
03:11Robinson then backtracked, writing that his claims were unfounded and adding,
03:15quote, I never should have speculated on a health issue of a player nor his commitment to his team.
03:21A very public reminder, sometimes the best take is no take at all.
03:27After a dramatic week, Dancing with the Stars shifted focus back to the ballroom for dedication night.
03:33Val Shmorkovsky's absence didn't stop Jenna Dewan from dancing a beautiful Viennese waltz and tribute to her mom.
03:39With her stand-in pro, Alan Burstyn, the duo scored a 37, with Carrie Ann giving Jenna her first 10.
03:47Maybe y'all need to apologize to Alan.
03:50Hmm.
03:51And millennial nostalgia was unlocked after Alfonso Ribeiro stepped back on the dance floor
03:56with his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star, Tatiana Ali, to honor Uncle Phil.
04:01And Julia Stiles surprised everyone with the cast of 10 Things I Hate About You
04:05during her tribute to her late co-star, Heath Ledger.
04:09Trust in me when I say...
04:13Not only did Tyler Cameron's dance include a pregnancy announcement,
04:17but the show had its first gender reveal.
04:22It's the girl!
04:24We're gonna be girl parents.
04:26Like, I'm gonna be a girl dad.
04:27Yes.
04:27So congrats to everybody, because Noah went home on such a special night.
04:33Winter Castle rolled out the red carpet this week in a welcome fit for a king or a sultan.
04:39Prince William and Princess Kate joined King Charles and Queen Camilla
04:42to welcome the Sultan of Oman for his state visit.
04:46William started the day by greeting their special guest on behalf of his dad
04:49before escorting him to the castle.
04:52And Kate let her fashion do a little diplomacy,
04:54wearing this deep green, a color from Oman's flag.
04:58Then they pulled out all the stops.
05:00There were gun salutes, a carriage procession, and a guard of honor,
05:04all leading up to the state banquet that night,
05:07where Kate went full glam in a yellow Ellie Saab gown
05:10and Queen Mary's love is not tiara,
05:12one of her go-to royal headpieces.
05:16And talk about a plot twist.
05:18So we just found out Andrew Hsu and Marley Fiberg are engaged.
05:22And in case you forgot how they met,
05:24they bonded after their exes, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, got together.
05:28And the timing is pretty wild.
05:31Amy and TJ just tied the knot last month.
05:34And now, three years into their own romance,
05:37Andrew says, there's finally a happy ending.
05:40While we wait for people's sexiest man alive reveal,
05:43the results of our Raiders Choice poll are already in.
05:47From sexiest Silver Fox and sexiest Cat Dad
05:50to sexiest fake hockey player you want to play real tonsil hockey with.
05:54Yeah, that's a thing.
05:56But what about when we kiss?
05:58You pick Pasha Poshkob as your sexiest Dancing with the Stars pro
06:02and Luke Grimes as your sexiest TV cowboy.
06:05You think I'm a good man?
06:07The best.
06:08These guys are all your favorites and I like it.
06:11So now, while we're still swooning over last year's Sexiest Man Live,
06:16the only thing left is to patiently wait for this year's.
06:19Coming soon.
06:22Now, it's the sit down with Connie Britton and Sam Nivola.
06:25Hi, YouTube.
06:26Your new show is about a young man who wakes up in the hospital after a car accident
06:30with a seemingly imposter mom.
06:32New fear unlocked.
06:34The characters you both play are juicy and dynamic.
06:37How do you prepare for a role like this?
06:38The way I prepared for it was I definitely did more prep than I ever have before.
06:43This felt like I really need to, like, figure out who this guy is.
06:47I just want everything to be like it used to be.
06:50So I worked with my acting coach a lot.
06:53I talked to Connie a lot, which was insanely helpful.
06:56Like, I just really approached it like this is my first time doing something this big
07:00and, like, I want to learn from everyone I'm working with
07:02and I think that that was really helpful.
07:04Now, if you're standing so close to the door, I can literally see your toes.
07:09Did being a mom to a teen son in real life help at all, Connie?
07:13Yes, it did.
07:14I was thinking this is such an amazing metaphor for what happens between a parent
07:22and their child during the teenage years because, of course, it's a teenager's job
07:29to, like, separate.
07:30But it's so painful and the way that teenagers go about it is so hard.
07:35And I'm experiencing my version of that.
07:38And so I really loved that this show kind of looks at that head-on,
07:45but in such a creative way.
07:47You think that your mom has been swapped out with a different woman.
07:51Sam, how hard is it to not fangirl over Connie on set?
07:55It honestly was.
07:57It's she, I mean, she's such a legend.
07:58It's, like, it's easy to get jaded when you're an actor
08:01and you work with lots of cool people
08:03and you have to kind of keep your s*** together.
08:05But, like, she's amazing and just, like,
08:08even more so than being a celebrity that I'm a fan of.
08:11Like, she's such a dedicated worker and talent as an actress
08:17and is awesome and rocks at it and does it really graciously
08:22and without sort of demanding that someone pick the red M&Ms
08:26out of her M&M bowl, you know?
08:28I mean, I did demand that.
08:29He did do that one time.
08:30It was only one time.
08:31And it was totally fair because the red ones suck.
08:34And that's the end one.
08:35Sam, what is one giveaway that your real-life mom,
08:38Emily Mortimer, could do that would make you s*** she's an imposter?
08:41Okay, well, my mom famously cannot stay up past, like, 8 p.m.
08:47So I would say if I'm watching a movie with my mom
08:50and the clock strikes 8.01 and her eyes are open,
08:55that is not my mom.
08:57I thought we'd never see you again.
08:59Connie, what do you think the secret is
09:01to such a rich and long-lasting career?
09:03I really think about what we get to do in a way as service.
09:08Like, we get to tell stories
09:11and we get to reflect people back to themselves.
09:14And I think no matter what role I'm playing,
09:17I'm always very conscious of being as authentic and honest as possible
09:22because I think people really appreciate that.
09:25People don't want to be lied to,
09:27despite what current circumstances might be.
09:30People don't want to be lied to.
09:31And I really try to be in every role that I play
09:37as authentic and honest in that role as possible.
09:40And I think audiences really, really appreciate that.
09:44Alrighty, in 10 seconds,
09:45tell everyone why they should watch Phony streaming on Hulu.
09:49Watch Phony because I don't know that it's like anything else
09:54you've ever seen before.
09:55It's going to take you along for the ride.
09:57I know that I'm your mother.
10:00Connie, Sam, thank you so much for being here today.
10:02Thank you all. You're so sweet.
