At a rally in South Carolina, Donald Trump revealed that he considered renaming the Atlantic Ocean after himself or America, prompting a phone call to Google Maps. Trump recounted speaking directly with Google CEO Sundar Pichai to request the mapping change, praising Pichai and co-founder Sergey Brin as brilliant. According to Trump, Pichai rejected the proposal, explaining that oceans cover multiple countries and urging him not to make such a request. Consequently, Trump indicated he would pass on renaming the ocean and retain the Atlantic Ocean name.
