00:01Read straight to camera
00:04If you work security, you already know the pain, dead battery in your ear, clip snaps off your belt, dust
00:09gets into the jack, and suddenly your whole shift is radio silence
00:13So I went digging and found the Motorola DP1400 accessories every security guard needs, and honestly, the prices are kind
00:20of ridiculous in a good way
00:23Let's go through them
00:25First up, the headset earphone jack dust cover
00:28$9.16, and nearly 4600 sold with a 4.9 rating
00:33This one's small but it matters, that little rubber plug keeps dust, rain, and pocket lint out of your jack,
00:39which is exactly what kills your audio over time
00:42Cheap insurance, and it fits the DP1400, DP450, and the CRP3688 too
00:49If your radio lives on your hip all day, grab this
00:53Next, the acoustic tube earpiece and mic 1358, 4500 sold, and a perfect 5 stars
01:00This is the one I'd buy first
01:02Acoustic tube means nobody standing next to you hears your dispatcher, which is a huge deal when you're on a
01:08gate or in a quiet lobby
01:10The mic and PTT sit right on your clothing, so you don't have to lift your radio to answer
01:15Comfortable enough to forget you're wearing it
01:18Then the belt clips, 3 pieces for $8.20
01:233700 sold, 4.9 stars
01:26Look, clips break
01:27They always break, and it's always mid-shift
01:31Three replacements for under $9 means you stop having that problem, and it fits the DP1400, DP450, CP200, PR400, and
01:41a bunch more
01:42Cheap spare parts in your bag
01:44That's just being smart
01:47Now the one that surprised me, the PTT button lock and rubber key repair kit
01:52$0.84
01:54$3,600 sold, 5 stars
01:58Less than a buck to fix a mushy or torn PTT button instead of replacing the whole radio
02:03If your push-to-talk has seen better days, this is the fix
02:07Honestly, add it to your cart and forget about it
02:11Skipped, on-screen text cues and timestamps
02:14Add when editing to b-roll
