00:00But I do think there's an interesting question to be asked, which is what I asked Park there towards the
00:06end.
00:07We're all expecting the Dolphins to look better than they have all season because the opponent is more inferior than
00:16any other opponent they've played this season.
00:18And Jeff Halfley and the coaching staff have had two weeks to prepare for an inferior opponent.
00:25But the question is, what I asked Park, what if they don't look good, they don't look prepared, they don't
00:34look any better?
00:35Then what?
00:39You're upset like you were when they were 0-5.
00:42Honestly, do they get a pass for the whole season?
00:46There's no point where people are going to say, yeah, I don't know, does Jeff Halfley have it as a
00:53head coach?
00:53Like, he gets a pass all season.
00:56Hawk, you draw up an interesting question for fans because we knew this season was going to be bad.
01:02We know the salary cap thing.
01:03We know all of that.
01:04It's Malik Willis and Halfley.
01:06Can we bring up what?
01:07Name Kyle McCord?
01:08When do we hear?
01:09We want to see what Kyle McCord can do if Malik goes out and plays some bad games.
01:14Is Halfley always, oh, it's the coach with no players.
01:17He's fine.
01:18He's fine.
01:18It's a great question.
01:19Hawk, I was looking it up for a tight end, the tight end question with Perk.
01:22If you look at these receiving numbers on the Dolphins, this is sad.
01:27He's the best.
01:28He has the most receptions on the team at 13.
01:31Dolchich, zero touchdowns, 13 catches, 127 yards.
01:36No one else other than Malik Washington has 23.
01:38Everybody else in single digits.
01:4023, 13, and then threes and fours.
01:42They play five games and two guys have double-digit receptions.
01:46The offense is bad.
01:47So, to your question, like the Jets aren't good, how much worse are we than the Jets?
01:54That's the question.
01:55And it's a sad question to add.
01:57Can you maximize, though?
01:57Can you, if you're a decent head coach or better, can you maximize what the Dolphins have
02:03for the best performance so far of their season this Sunday?
02:08To me, this is a big question.
02:10I'm not even saying that they've got to romp or even beat the Jets.
02:14They have to look the best they've looked, right?
02:17You have a C student.
02:19He or she studies every night for the test.
02:22Gets good night's sleep, has a good breakfast.
02:25Can that C student go and get an A?
02:28If it's just a, it's a, it's a U or C.
02:30You're five and five tests.
02:32You've got all C's and D's.
02:34Now you're going to study a little more and get an A.
02:36It makes sense.
02:37You have more time to get ready.
02:39I don't know if you're going to be an A student on this Sunday.
02:42I, well, and it's the easiest test that you've had.
02:45Like that's the part.
02:46It's the easiest test you've had.
02:47The other tests have been pretty difficult.
02:49This is the easiest test.
02:52I, it, it, then your, your narrative and your context to it makes a lot of sense.
02:58I just hope it plays out the way that you're, you're, you're painting it.
03:02I hope, I hope this picture is painted in the right direction.
03:05I wonder what is going to happen Sunday around four 30, five o'clock.
03:11If the dolphins look terrible against the jets.
03:15And I wonder what's going to happen Monday on the show, all the sports shows, if they
03:23don't look extra prepared, extra on point.
03:30Like, I just wonder, but we expected it this season.
03:34And I go, you're saying the context matters coming off the bi-week against the jets, the
03:38team that you're supposed to at the very least compete with and have a chance of beating.
03:41Like I get all those things, but Hawk, like we're talking about Owen 17 coming into the
03:46season.
03:47Talking about looking better, just looking better.
03:49Yeah.
03:50Right.
03:50But, but we're going to punt on, Hey, this is the season after, after five, six games.
03:55I'm not, I'm wondering what the reaction's going to be though.
03:59No, because I think you're saying the right things.
04:02Hey, we expected this.
04:04And I think it's going to be a whole different reaction.
04:07If they go out and bleep the bed Sunday against the jets.
