00:00Okay, if you're still belly landing your fixed wing every single flight, we need to talk.
00:05I dug through the listings and found the best deals for top 5 RC airplane landing gear sets
00:09for fixed wing reel wheels, reel retracts, and a couple of prices that honestly made me check
00:14them twice. Let's go. First up, this KT rubber will set on a metal landing gear frame for 539.
00:22The metal struts are the whole point here, they take a hit in the grass and don't fold over like
00:27the plastic ones do. Almost 4,800 people have bought it and it's sitting at 4.9 stars.
00:33If you're on a budget and just want something that survives a bad landing, start here.
00:39Next one, and this is the set I'd buy myself, the Spark Hobby Serverless Electric Retractable Gear,
00:44rated to 3.5 kilos, only 40 grams, with steering, $4599. Serverless means no air tank, no valve,
00:52no drama, you just plug it straight into your receiver with the JR plug.
00:574.9 stars and nearly 4,800 sold. That's an absurd price for electric retracts.
01:04Then we've got the SU27 KT board landing gear assembly with a steerable wheel for 537.
01:10If you're building a flat plate or KT board airframe, this saves you measuring and cutting,
01:15and the steering nose will actually track straight on the ground instead of skidding.
01:19It's 4.6 stars with about 4,700 sold. Cheap, simple, gets the job done.
01:26This next one's the upgrade pick, the Flyfan 64mm L39 set with retractable gear and navigation lights
01:33for 1142. The retracts tuck the wheels away for a much cleaner airframe in the air, and the NAV
01:39lights make evening flying way easier to keep your eyes on. It's the priciest thing on this list,
01:45but it's also the only one with a perfect 5-star rating. And the value winner is the cheapest thing
01:50here, the 1400mm Surfer X8 steel wire gear with sponge wheels for 284. It fits both the Surfer X8
01:58and the 800mm Mini Surfer 800, and those sponge wheels soak up rough field landings instead of
02:03bouncing you back into the air. 4.6 stars, over 3800 sold. $2.84, just grab a set.
02:13Links to all 5 are in the description below, so go check the prices before they move.
02:18If this saved you some digging, hit that like button and subscribe,
02:21I do this every week so you don't have to. Happy landings!
