00:00Okay, so I went down a rabbit hole looking for cheap, solid connectors to build my own frames
00:04and honestly, I came out the other side with 5 that actually held up.
00:08These are the top 5 aluminum tube connectors for DIY frames, and every single one of them is under
00:1420 bucks. First up, the 25mm round pipe joint in stainless steel. This is the one you want for
00:21clothes racks, shoe racks, any rod that has to carry real weight, it clamps down hard and it
00:26doesn't slip once you've tightened it. At $5.22 with almost 5,000 sold and a 4.7 rating,
00:33it's the cheapest way to make a frame that doesn't wobble.
00:37Next, something a little different, a dust control cutting misting system with a universal
00:41joint water nozzle, made to bolt straight onto an angle grinder. If you cut tube indoors,
00:47this thing kills the dust cloud before it even starts, and the aluminum spray head swivels
00:51wherever you point it. It's $18.94, it's got nearly 4,900 sales and a perfect 5-star rating.
01:00Worth every cent.
01:02Number 3 is the straight pipe extension joint with flare nuts, 1 half, 1 quarter and 3 eighths inch.
01:08It's copper, not cheap plastic, so it seals properly and you're not chasing leaks an hour later.
01:14I use mine for joining runs in tighter frames where a straight coupler just won't fit.
01:19$5.30, over 4,800 sold, 4.8 stars, grab a couple of extras, you'll want them.
01:26Fourth is the pack of 5-10 pole end caps, in either 7.9 or 8.5 millimeter.
01:32These are the little aluminum alloy tips that finish off the ends of your tube,
01:36no sharp edges, no scratched floors, and the frame sits dead flat.
01:405 for $5.13, 4,700 plus sold, 4.6 stars. Small thing, but it's what makes a DIY frame
01:49actually look finished. And the last one, the portable window kit slide plate.
01:55It's an adjustable adapter that connects an exhaust host to a window, and yes, you can absolutely
02:00repurpose it as a tube connector in an AC or vent build. It slides to fit, locks where you need
02:06it,
02:06and it's $8 with a 4.9 rating off 4,700 sales. Best reviewed thing on this list.
