A controversy has erupted at Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University after slogans including “Free Kashmir” and “Free Sharjeel Imam” were reportedly found written on campus walls amid an ongoing student protest. Congress MP Imran Masood was detained by Delhi Police after visiting the campus to meet protesting students. The ABVP has sought an impartial investigation and registration of an FIR, while the university administration has said it is trying to identify those responsible.
