00:00And one of the things you can do, if you are someone who struggles with driving, you should look into
00:03this a little bit more, drop it on the deck for a bit.
00:07And driver off the deck sounds like it should be making it more difficult.
00:11It's going to make me want to smother it more.
00:13Yeah, but you're already default down, so we're not going to all of a sudden get you hitting three degrees
00:18up on it.
00:19And three degrees up on it isn't necessarily great for a lot of players.
00:23As soon as you introduce an ascending attack angle, you're optimising for distance.
00:27But quite often your dispersion cone will go up.
00:30So a lot of the better drivers, why do people always peg it down when they want to hit a
00:33fairway?
00:34Because they need to hit down on it and squeeze one out there a little bit.
00:36When it's on the deck or just on a little Laura Davis tuft or something like that, you kind of
00:42cover the ball a little bit better.
00:43You're hitting it low on the face, which is automatically increasing the spin.
00:48And I hadn't thought of it before, but if you are struggling with driver, a little remedy for a little
00:53while can just be to get the peg right down.
00:55So it's feeling more like an iron or a controllable shot.
01:00Because the higher you peg it up and you try to pick it off this kind of knitting needle that's
01:05popping up a foot in the sky, it can be very difficult.
01:07It's just an interesting idea that I hadn't heard about trying to get driver back under control.
01:13Seems counterintuitive.
01:14Everyone says, oh, driver on the deck is so hard.
01:15Well, it really isn't with some of the new modern equipment and the CG locations that just increase the spin.
01:21It's an interesting thing that I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of people try.
