As the race progresses, the competitors are eliminated one by one.
After the Nissan Silvia breaks down and Luz Vega's Pontiac Firebird crashes, only the Toyota Supra and Dodge Viper remain.

The two remaining drivers battle for victory in a final high-speed showdown.
But when the race ends, the LAPD arrives.
🚨 NO ESCAPE
The celebration becomes an intense police chase featuring Crown Victoria police cruisers, roadblocks, helicopter support and a final escape attempt toward Downtown Los Angeles.
The outcome remains a mystery.
