00:01Amazing! Competitor Leo's snowy owl chick has recovered!
00:05Incredible!
00:07Little bird, I will save you.
00:11How can this amateur compete against professionals?
00:13Leo's already finished.
00:15Evie's still standing there zoning out.
00:16She's just putting on an act.
00:17Lack of ability is lack of ability.
00:19She got lucky once and thinks she can win forever.
00:21We'll still be the final winners.
00:22Celebrating so early? Afraid you'll lose badly later?
00:24Still talking big.
00:26The competition is not over yet.
00:27Don't pop the champagne halfway.
00:28Dr. Whitmerd, is there something wrong with the bird your apprentice is trying to heal?
00:36You're overreaching.
00:38Contestant Leo has completed his run.
00:40It seems the result is clear.
00:42Dr. Whitmerd, she hasn't finished yet.
00:49You're awake!
00:51Wait, her bird is moving.
00:54Just as I thought.
00:56How is this possible?
00:58It's impossible!
01:02This is incredible.
01:04In 50 years of wildlife medicine, I have never seen this.
01:10It came back to life!
01:12She's gifted.
01:13You were right.
01:15Of course.
01:16I'll train her myself.
01:18Impossible.
01:19That bird was already dead.
01:21How?
01:21So what?
01:23Leo was the fastest.
01:25You have lost.
01:26The rules judge speed and results.
01:32Leo was faster.
01:34Evie's result was better.
01:35This round is a tie.
01:37No!
01:37She cheated.
01:39No medicine.
01:40No medicine.
01:41She must have used something else.
01:45Really?
01:46Then tell me how she cheated.
01:48Check the surveillance?
01:50No!
01:51We cannot check the surveillance.
01:56No need.
01:57We accept the result.
01:58Since this round is a tie, the final round will be in three days.
02:04I'll set the rules myself.
02:07After all our years working together, I'm giving you one last chance.
02:18Evan.
02:19Didn't you say this wouldn't be a problem?
02:23That bird was dead.
02:24How's it alive again?
02:25You almost let Evie win.
02:28Evan.
02:29We've been good to you.
02:30You can't even take down one little girl.
02:33If you can't keep your spot as Dr. Whitmore's assistant,
02:36don't blame us.
02:38Victor.
02:39Ethan.
02:40I messed up today.
02:41We still got a shot next round.
02:44What's your plan?
02:45Just making Evie lose isn't enough.
02:48That little girl keeps messing up our plans.
02:50She's a problem now.
02:52I want her gone.
02:55That... that might be a problem.
02:58Evan.
03:01If Dr. Whitmore actually starts mentoring Evie personally,
03:06how much longer do you think you'll last at the Foundation after that?
03:11Once this gets out, you're finished in this field.
03:15Who's going to take you seriously after that?
03:18I get it.
03:31I got a problem.
03:33I got home.
03:35Dude, I got a problem.
03:37I'm actually gonna let you go.
03:38You guys esteemed?
03:39Oh
03:50Evie
04:09The kids right now. They should be home by now. Why aren't they back yet?
04:14Don't assume the worst. Maybe they're just playing. They lost track of time
04:28Someone took the kids. Somebody saw them heading toward the woods outside town
04:33Get the car ready. I'm heading to the abandoned building outside town
04:39Oh
04:47Little birds help me get this rope off
04:51Evie you can really talk to animals. Yeah, they can only do so much. They can't tell anyone what happened
05:02Where the hell did these damn birds come from get lost
05:10Evie you're a bad guy. You took me and noah here. You're gonna pay for this
05:18You still talk to me like that
05:21Let her go. Neither of you is going anywhere
05:24Victor!
05:27Evie! Noah!
05:29Daddy!
05:37Let the kids go
05:39Anything you want
05:40One billion dollars and a private jet
05:42I want to leave the country
05:44And one more thing on your knees
05:48Fine, don't hurt them. I'll do it. Please don't hurt them
06:04Stupid birds!
06:10My eye!
06:20Don't be afraid
06:49Everyone, stay where you are!
06:56Move again and I'll kill her!
06:58Victor, don't do something stupid!
07:00This is all her fault!
07:02I finally got this life!
07:04If it weren't for her, I would never have lost everything!
07:06You're the one who did bad things!
07:08Shut up! Today, no one leaves alive!
07:10Evie! Dad! Evie!
07:25No! It's too late!
07:28I won't let anyone get hurt!
07:30Evie, don't!
07:37Evie's really weak right now.
07:38The strange thing is, we can't figure out what put her in this coma.
07:41She might stay asleep like this. Indefinitely.
07:44No, she's gonna wake up. Evie's gonna wake up.
07:50She will. She's gonna wake up.
08:05Victor, you know how you're still alive?
08:06You'll go before I do.
08:08That explosion? Evie saved us the second it went off.
08:11Cursed kid gotta do with any of this.
08:12Guess that blast messed your head up bad.
08:14That Evie you've always looked down on?
08:16She's the real luck.
08:16All that luck you've been chasing?
08:19It's Evie.
08:20She's the one who saved us.
08:22And you? You never appreciated her.
08:24You don't deserve to call yourself her father.
08:26Victor, it was right in front of you the whole time.
08:28But your fear and greed blinded you.
08:30You pushed Evie away yourself.
08:31And you threw away...
08:34everything you could have had.
08:35I was so damn stupid.
08:36Evie, how could I let you go?
08:38I threw away my own luck!
08:40All of this! It should have been mine!
08:51Evie, Dad's here.
08:54You said you'd protect us.
08:56Now it's our turn to protect you.
08:58Please wake up, Evie.
09:00I still want to do things with you.
09:03Go to school!
09:08Evie, can you hear Daddy?
09:16Daddy?
09:18Mommy?
09:19Mommy's here!
09:22She's awake! Evie's awake!
09:24Evie fell asleep for long?
09:26Not really.
09:27As long as you wake up,
09:29no amount of time is too long.
09:32Evie is now officially
09:33the legal child of the Carter family
09:35and under the protection of the Carter family.
09:37From this day forward,
09:39this is your home too.
09:40The Carter family will protect you.
09:42And me.
09:43You'll never be alone again.
09:45Dear Evie,
09:46you found your family.
09:50I found my family!
