A major political controversy has broken out following a controversial remark made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event in Patna. The Bharatiya Janata Party has responded with intense criticism and launched nationwide agitations, staging protests and demonstrations across major cities including Delhi, Lucknow, and Bengaluru. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh condemned the comment, stating that it was shocking to hear such language from the national president of the country's oldest party and termed it contrary to political decorum. Other party leaders also criticised the remarks, describing them as reflective of frustration. Meanwhile, the Congress party defended the Congress chief, with leaders such as Member of Parliament Imran Masood asserting that the phrase was an impromptu retort to an audience member and alleging that the ruling party routinely targets opposition leaders in similar language.

00:00The biggest political controversy of the day was the BAP comment
00:04made by nobody else but the Congress President Malik Arjun Khadge.
00:08Now, and this in reference to Prime Minister Modi.
00:10So you can expect the BJP immediately jumped in,
00:13nationwide agitations were being planned.
00:15And should Malik Arjun Khadge as the party president
00:17refer to the father of the Prime Minister,
00:20even though of course it was what appeared to be
00:23a tongue-in-cheek remark to somebody in the audience.
00:25Now the Congress is defending it, but the BJP is all guns blazing.
00:28Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has in fact gone about
00:32and has targeted saying this is political bankruptcy.
00:34They know that they are failing at every count
00:36and they are resorting to such expressions.
00:40The BJP has launched nationwide agitation in different cities already.
00:44The protests have broken out Delhi, Lucknow, even Bengaluru.
00:49And Malik Arjun Khadge had basically responding to somebody
00:52in the audience had said,
00:54Modi ka bhaap bhi jayega.
00:56And you can imagine how the BJP jumped on this.
00:59The Congress, however, is defending Khadge.
01:01Member of Parliament Imran Masood is saying
01:03it's the Prime Minister and it's the BJP
01:06that constantly uses certain words
01:08for the Congress Party, for the Gandhi family
01:10that are objectionable
01:11and they are just being responded to in that same tone.
01:13Had the government shown the same aggression
01:16toward China and America,
01:18that would have been better
01:19rather than show this aggression against India's opposition.

06:52As they say, they will listen to the people.
06:55The BJP is going to do the country today.
06:57As they say, they are going to say that the President is going to be a leader.
07:03Why would the President be so angry?
07:05My mother told me. My father told me.
07:08My mother told me.
07:09Why would the President be so bad?
07:11We see the President.
07:13We don't see the President and America.
07:15We don't see the President.
07:16We see the President.
07:19So the Congress leaders, expectedly,
07:22are coming out in strong defense of Malik Arjun Khadge,
07:25saying that there was a response and the BJP has said much worse.
07:29But the BJP, expectedly, has also jumped in.
07:31Remember, targeting Prime Minister Modi's father
07:34is definitely getting personal
07:36and what it has led to, in the past as well,
07:39the kind of political showdown that we have witnessed.
07:42This, remember, is at a time
07:44when Rajnath Singh, who has also led the party,
07:47has jumped in and has spoken against.
07:50But expect nationwide agitations that have already started
07:53and will go ahead and the BJP will speak more on this.
07:57The question is, will Prime Minister Modi also refer to this?
08:01Thank you very much,
08:01and we'll discuss the opportunity
08:01in Mr Faena because we have governed there already,
