00:03Actress Radhika Apte has dismissed the notion that women often clash with each other on film
00:09sets, calling it an outdated thought. She said workplace dynamics depend on individual
00:15camaraderie rather than gender, adding that she finds men far more insecure than women.
00:22During an exclusive interview, Radhika was asked whether the classes between two strong women
00:28portrayed in her series Akka also extended off-camera. Given the perception that having
00:35many women on set can lead to conflict. Responding to the question, the actress said,
00:46it's a very old school, dated thought that women clash. I haven't actually heard that question
00:53for a long time now because that's really not true. I find men far more insecure than women.
01:03And to be honest, it's not about men and women. It's about camaraderie. You get along with some
01:06people, you don't get along with some people. It's just that. And our set was actually lovely.
01:15We had quite an equal amount of men and women actually on set because a lot of cast was women
01:22but also a lot of people who were working were also women. I think it was more like
01:30nice sisterhood. It's more comfortable for sure. And it's not like you all become best friends
01:38whether you're a man or a woman. You know what I mean? Everybody is cordial and nice unless you have
01:43massive issues with each other, which generally doesn't happen. Meanwhile, Radhika Aapte is gearing
01:49up for the release of the crime drama Akka, which is also stars Kirti Suresh. The series is scheduled to
01:57premiere on October 30.
