00:00It's time to check in with Rochelle for tonight's weather forecast.
00:04Thanks, Bash. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:08I hope all the sunshine we got today rid you of the Monday blues.
00:12But along with all that sunshine came warmer temperatures.
00:16And unfortunately, tonight might not be as cool as we'd like.
00:20According to the Met Office, tonight will be mostly fair but warm.
00:24Despite the brief shower after midnight favoring Tobago,
00:28the temperature is dropping to 25 degrees in Trinidad,
00:31but a bit warmer in Tobago at 27 degrees.
00:35And for tomorrow, we're not seeing much activity happening,
00:39only some cloud patches.
00:41So brace yourself for more hot and sunny weather,
00:44but with party cloudy spells at times.
00:47Daytime temperatures will increase to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
00:53By now, you should be finding ways to cope with the heat
00:56because it's here to stay, at least for the next couple of days.
01:00On Wednesday and Thursday, the Met Office says we'll give us sunshine
01:04that will be interrupted at times by partly cloudy spells with brief showers.
01:09Let's take a look at our sun times now.
01:11In Trinidad, sun rises at 556 and 553 in Tobago,
01:15and sunset at 543 in Trinidad and 559 in Tobago.
01:19And if you're in the need of some vitamin C,
01:23see what I did there?
01:24Sea conditions will be moderate with waves,
01:271.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters,
01:29and below 1 meter, occasionally choppy,
01:32in sheltered areas.
01:34All marine interests should exercise caution
01:36because occasional long-period swells are possible
01:39and may agitate nearshore conditions,
01:42particularly along northern coastlines.
01:45And with that being said, it's now time for your Thai time.
01:58Now, let's see what's happening around the world,
02:01but in 30 seconds.
02:02We begin in the western Pacific,
02:05where Typhoon Infa has strengthened into a Category 3 storm
02:09and is moving toward the northern Mariana Islands,
02:12bringing concerns about dangerous seas
02:15and potential impacts later this week.
02:17Meanwhile, in India, cyclone Arnav is strengthening
02:21over the Bay of Bengal
02:23and is expected to approach the eastern coastline by Wednesday,
02:26bringing the threat of damaging winds and heavy rainfall.
02:30And in Southeast Asia,
02:32flooding continues across parts of Thailand,
02:35with 2.4 million people still affected.
02:38I hope that was in 30 seconds.
02:40Well, that's all for weather tonight,
02:42but don't coach us yet,
02:43because sports is up next.
02:46Here's what's coming up.
02:48World Cup bound, the Calypso girls...
