00:07Can you guess the sport? Here are a few hints. It's fast-paced, it's skilled, but unlike rugby
00:13and American football, there's no tackling. And if you want to know what flag football is,
00:18basically flag football is just a safer, fun version of American tackle football. And not
00:24just tackle football as American football as well, also you only have rugby too that you've
00:28played as a tackle. But we are, this is a fun game where instead of tackling or taking someone
00:32to the ground, you just pull their flags and that initiates the tackle. So that way you
00:36don't have to be backspired. So it's safe for your kids, it's always safe to play. Flag football
00:41is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and in the world. And to prove
00:45its growing status, the sport will be played at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
00:50One of the many reasons behind the launch of the TNT American flag football and amateur football
00:55association locally. Today we are having a initial launch of our organization, which
01:01is Flag Football in TNT to bring awareness of the sport in TNT. Our objective today is
01:06to make sure that the kids have a fun, safe place to play. And also, like I said, to bring
01:11awareness of the sport in different regions of TNT. So today we have a little fun activity
01:16with the kids where they can come, do certain drills, run certain games, do some games, and
01:22then also have a summer final game and a championship game as well here on the field.
01:28The launch took place yesterday at the Garden Village Recreation Ground in Dabidi. And while
01:32the ultimate goal may be an Olympic dream for those interested, the TTA FFA's founder added a few
01:38more benefits. Some of the opportunities that the kids might have is that if they want to go to
01:42colleges locally or internationally, they can pursue that pathway because right now we have two clubs
01:49that's running in Sawa and also we have a club in UWE at the university too as well. So that's
01:55kind
01:55of a pathway to the university as well locally. And then also if you want to do it internationally,
02:01then the girls pretty much have a good chance of making a roster spot in a university form because
02:07it's more heavily gained for the female side of flag football. Also than that, they could also,
02:13if they're good enough, they could also make a professional league which is in America too as well.
