here's what Worth the Chase never gives you, and it's the reason I keep thinking about it: the conversation.
There's a scene where they could have talked. Door open, nobody else in the house, and about forty seconds of silence in which either of them could have said the true thing.
The show cuts away. Not to a different day — to a completely different scene, later, in which nothing has been resolved and both of them are being polite.
That missing conversation is the entire series. Everything that goes wrong afterwards goes wrong because of forty seconds that didn't happen, and the show never once lets you hear what she would have said.

- The cut is abrupt. No music to soften it.
- Neither character ever references that moment.
✨ Bottom line: the best scene in this drama is the one they left out.
