If I’m rich, I splurge; if I’m broke, I pray.
Blame fate when poor, burn incense when wealthy.
Nine out of ten who burn incense pray for wealth.
I light an incense stick worth two bucks, yet wish for twenty million.
If I can’t push myself hard, I’ll put the pressure on Buddha.
Wispy smoke curls upward, carrying greed; what falls down is ashes.
Still, between relying on others and relying on myself, we choose to pray to Buddha.
Between going to work and striving to improve, we choose to burn incense.
As for the rest, leave it to fate.
