00:00Rollball is a combination of basketball, handball and roller skating.
00:06My name is Satya Veronica. I'm a rollball player. I do skating for fun and I play rollball
00:13professionally. I started playing tennis back in Saint Cecilia Mesihu and I was quite good in the
00:19sport. I managed to represent Kenya in the East African Championships in Arusha in Tanzania.
00:26Because it's next to tennis in Jaguar, it caught my eye. I've already learned how to skate. Why not
00:31try this sport? And I actually became so good in the sport. I think it's just probably talent or
00:39let's say training because I used to train a lot. I used to train a lot up to around midnight.
00:45So
00:45I became so good in the sport and by the time I was in Thaddea, I was already in the
00:50national team.
00:51And I was so happy to be part of contributing a lot for the team because the game of the
00:57semifinals
00:57I was the one who scored the two goals that led us to the finals. And it was a comeback
01:02because we
01:03were already losing that match 1-0 to 4-0. It was a very nice experience and then it was
01:08a chance for
01:09the coaches to trust in me and to put me actually in the next World Cup.
01:17I thought national team is all about you have worked hard. So you are going to zip your harvest
01:23at the national team. When you become an elite player, you actually realize how bad our systems
01:29are. We are a good team. You guys have already frustrated us. So we are just going to show you
01:37what you are capable of.
