00:05International Criminal Court arrest warrant against him. In a manifestation on Tuesday,
00:10October 27, De La Rosa's lawyer Israelita Torreon asked the SC to urgently rule on a pending motion
00:15for reconsideration they filed in June. The motion seeks to reverse a May court decision that denied
00:21their plea for a temporary restraining order or a status quo ante order to stop the implementation
00:26of the ICC arrest warrant. A status quo ante order means the court wants things returned to how they
00:32were before a disputed action happened while it decides the case. De La Rosa's lawyer argued the
00:38enforcement posture surrounding the senator had escalated. It cited the Department of the Interior
00:43and local government's declaration that the senator is armed and dangerous and the 50 million peso bounty
00:48was offered for his arrest. Voting 9-5-1, the SC previously denied De La Rosa's request for a
00:54temporary restraining order, saying he had no clear and unmistakable right to be protected.
00:59The ICC pre-trial chamber 1 issued a warrant against De La Rosa in November last year due to
01:05his role in former President Rodrigo Duterte's drug war.
