00:00This is true. This is a fact. I'm not making this up. He, the president of the United States,
00:07is spending time supergluing gold medallions to the mantle in the Oval Office.
00:16I am not making this up. He is literally doing arts and crafts while we are fighting a war
00:24and trying to deal with out-of-control prices.
00:31Now, look, I heard the president was not happy when I joked over the weekend
00:41that he's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.
00:48And listen, first of all, let me get this on the record.
00:56I am the father of two daughters.
01:00Do you think I could have survived their childhood without going to the Cheesecake Factory?
01:09I lived at Chuck E. Cheese and California Pizza Kitchen and the Cheesecake Factory.
01:17That was my jam for about a decade.
01:24Of course, the real problem is price has gotten so high, a lot of folks can barely afford to go
01:29out to eat.
01:33So, you would think that this administration wouldn't be spending time worrying about that?
01:40But that was the interesting thing about how the administration responded to the speech I gave the other day.
01:47They did not dispute what I said about them being directly responsible for rising prices.
01:54They did not argue with that.
01:56They did not deny terrorists were contributing to higher costs for families.
02:03They didn't say anything about that.
02:05I accused this administration based on the facts that they were engaging in unprecedented levels of corruption.
02:14They didn't say anything about that.
02:17The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison.
02:25That part didn't bother him.
02:28But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory comments.
02:35He took great umbrage.
02:41He said, I didn't understand the work of the artisans in the White House.
02:48And they mobilized.
02:50This was, I mean, it's all crazy, but this was the really crazy part.
02:57They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke.
03:03Not to inflation, but to that joke.
03:08The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury.
03:14This is the man who is in charge of the economy.
03:18The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable.
03:24The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation and reduce interest rates.
03:30Because they told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory.
03:40No.
03:42Y'all didn't see this.
03:43This really happened.
03:51And the Treasury Secretary, he happens to be a former hedge fund manager worth half a billion dollars.
03:59And he was out there in front of the Cheesecake Factory explaining how he ordered the delicious French dip cheeseburger.
04:10Instead of the egg rolls.
04:22Now, look, this is not something I ever thought of.
04:27Like, I inherited this major financial crisis.
04:31I never called my Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner.
04:34Said, man, you've got to go to Arby's.
04:38Order roast beef.
04:41No cheese, though.
04:42That may look elitist.
04:48What do you...
04:49To everybody out there, including the press, I want you to understand this.
04:55This is what I mean when I say these are not serious people.
04:59They don't have solutions to actual problems.
05:04So they'd rather have the media and you talking about the Cheesecake Factory.
05:10That's the game they've been playing for the last two years.
05:14Just keep throwing distractions out there.
05:17Attacks, fabrications, phony outrage, and hope that you won't notice that your bills are higher and your life is tougher.
05:30Except that okey-doke will not work this time.
