00:10Hi, how are you doing?
00:11Well, great. Great, thank you.
00:13Where are you from?
00:14We're from Denmark.
00:15Oh, Denmark?
00:16Yeah.
00:17Tak.
00:18Yeah, exactly.
00:20Actually, I met some Danish people here.
00:22Okay.
00:23They are very friendly.
00:24Yeah.
00:25How long is the trip in Thailand?
00:27I've been here for first a month.
00:29I traveled alone before I met up with Julie.
00:32So, I was here for one month, and then we got to Malaysia for a week or so.
00:38And we just came back to Thailand for a week more.
00:41And then we're going to Singapore afterwards.
00:43Oh, Singapore.
00:44Yeah.
00:44So, I've been here for a month and a half or so in total.
00:49And I've been here for like two weeks, something like that.
00:51What do you do for a living?
00:53We've had two gap years, and then I think we're both going to study.
00:57For summer.
00:58For summer.
00:58Yeah.
00:59So, just get here now.
01:00Where is your favorite place in Thailand so far?
01:03I would say here.
01:04I would say Chiang Mai.
01:06Chiang Mai is really nice.
01:07There's a bit more of activities to do, because the south of Thailand is more like beach and
01:14it's a whole vibe.
01:15And Chiang Mai is a bit more exciting.
01:18Oh.
01:18Yeah.
01:19More like a traditional.
01:21Yeah.
01:22I didn't go there, so.
01:24Oh, okay.
01:24I can't really say.
01:26Oh, yeah.
01:26Yeah.
01:27I mean, you like the beach.
01:28Yeah, I do.
01:30Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand?
01:33I would definitely say the traffic, but I think it's just normal in Asia in general,
01:39that the traffic is crazy.
01:41Yeah.
01:41Oh, yeah, yeah.
01:42Very rough.
01:43Yeah.
01:43The traffic and garbage on the street, and it's a bit unclean here compared to Denmark.
01:49Yeah.
01:50That might be it.
01:51I think so.
01:52What do you like and dislike about your country?
01:54I really like the health system we have in Denmark.
01:57I know we pay a lot in Texas, but I think it's good.
02:00And I really dislike the weather.
02:03Yeah.
02:04Yeah.
02:04The weather is so bad.
02:06And boring.
02:07Yeah.
02:08Very cloudy often and just rainy.
02:11But the summer times in Denmark are very nice as well.
02:15I really like summer in Denmark.
02:17Yeah.
02:17And I really like Denmark, how the society see animals.
02:22I feel like when we travel here in Southeast Asia, it's really, it hurts to see all of
02:27the dogs and all of the cats and yeah, just all of the animals in general, how they're
02:32being treated and living on the streets.
02:34Yeah.
02:35We used to have them as pets, so.
02:36Yeah.
02:37It's a bit hard for us.
02:38Yeah.
02:39I guess you're popular among guys.
02:41So, do you have any dating advice for guys?
02:46Oh, where should we start?
02:47Yeah.
02:48Yeah.
02:49I feel like just be kind.
02:52Yeah.
02:52Don't be too shy, but don't be too much.
02:54If you have like an interest in anybody, just go talk to them, but don't start it like,
02:59oh, you're freaking hot.
03:00Yeah.
03:00Just be like, you seem so kind.
03:03What's your name?
03:03Or I feel like it's a balance between being not too shy and not too much.
03:08Yeah.
03:08Definitely.
03:09I think so, yeah.
03:10Yeah.
03:10I would agree.
03:11Yeah.
03:12Definitely.
03:13Thank you for your time.
03:14Yeah, of course.
03:15Tak.
03:16Yeah.
03:16Set tak.
03:18Hi, how are you doing?
03:19Good.
03:20Where are you from?
03:21We're from Germany.
03:22How long is the trip in Thailand?
03:24In Thailand, four weeks.
03:27Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
03:29Because it's a beautiful country and the food is really good.
03:33And the beaches are amazing.
03:34Yeah, the beaches.
03:35And the weather, very good.
03:37Very hot.
03:38Yeah, very hot.
03:39But nice.
03:40Where did you visit in Thailand so far?
03:41We went to Bangkok, then to Phuket, and then to...
03:45Kaolak.
03:46Kaolak.
03:47And now here.
03:48Where is your favorite place in Thailand?
03:50So far, I think it's here.
03:53I think also Kaolak was really nice.
03:55Oh, yeah.
03:55Kaolak was very pretty.
03:57Yeah.
03:57You like the nature?
03:58Yes.
03:59Because we were swimming with elephants.
04:01It was really cool.
04:02Do you eat Thai food?
04:04Yes.
04:04Every day.
04:05Do you have any favorite Thai food?
04:07Yeah.
04:08Mine is just Thai curry.
04:10Do you like Pad Thai?
04:11Oh, yeah.
04:12She loves Pad Thai.
04:13Yeah.
04:14Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand?
04:17Oh, yeah.
04:18Kaosan rose.
04:18Kaosan rose in Bangkok.
04:20There were spiders to eat on the stands, on the markets.
04:25And scorpions.
04:26And people were eating them.
04:27It's a big culture shock.
04:28But very interesting to see.
04:30What do you do for a living?
04:31We're students.
04:32What do you study?
04:33I study law.
04:34I will study biology in September.
04:37What advice would you give to other Western travelers?
04:40I think to go to all the local restaurants.
04:44Instead of the touristy restaurants, go to the local and cheap ones.
04:47Because they're way better.
04:48Yes.
04:49And also, always say yes if there's like an opportunity of something.
04:54And for example, yesterday we were like asked to be models for like a photo shooting on like a remote
04:59island.
04:59And we just said yes and we had the best time ever.
05:02So just try everything and don't like relax all the time.
05:06Try some new things.
05:07Could you tell me what you like and dislike about your country?
05:10What I dislike probably the weather.
05:13Yeah.
05:13It's really gray and rainy and cold.
05:16I think it's a good country to live in.
05:18You have a lot of opportunities for work and healthcare system and everything.
05:23Very developed and good social welfare.
05:26Yeah, exactly.
05:27Thank you for time.
05:28Of course.
05:29Yeah.
05:30Hi.
05:31How are you doing?
05:32Fine and you?
05:33Yeah, thank you.
05:34Where are you from?
05:35We're from Switzerland.
05:37Do you speak French?
05:38Yes.
05:39Bonjour.
05:40Bonjour.
05:41Ça va?
05:41Oui.
05:43Where did you go in Thailand so far?
05:46Bangkart, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai.
05:50You went to Chiang Rai.
05:50Yeah, I went to Chiang Rai.
05:52Phuket, Kofifi, Krabi.
05:56Many places.
05:57Yeah.
05:57Where is your favorite place in Thailand so far?
06:00I liked Bangkok for the artistic part.
06:04The city.
06:05Yeah, for the city.
06:07But I think for the beaches, we saw Maya Bay in Kofifi.
06:13It was really, really beautiful.
06:16Did you enjoy parties in Phuket?
06:19Not that much.
06:20Not that much.
06:21More in Phuket.
06:22Yeah.
06:22More in Phuket.
06:23There are clubs with French songs.
06:26So, yeah.
06:29Bangla Road in Phuket.
06:30Yeah.
06:31Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand?
06:33Not that much.
06:35Not that much.
06:36I think Vietnam was more...
06:37Vietnam was the first one where we flew.
06:41So, yeah.
06:42It was more shocking than Thailand.
06:44Yeah.
06:45But there's like the street food.
06:48That's not usual in Europe.
06:50Yeah.
06:51So, yeah.
06:52There's a lot of differences.
06:54But I think there are more cars.
06:56I think it's more developed.
06:58As like in Europe.
07:01Could you tell me what you like and dislike about your country?
07:04So, our city in particular.
07:07Because we don't go in the rest.
07:09But I think it's really small.
07:11Yeah.
07:12There's not the sea.
07:13It's cold.
07:14The sky is grey.
07:17People are cold.
07:19So, yeah.
07:20Not really friendly.
07:21People are not friendly.
07:22At all.
07:23The...
07:24Like the...
07:25The nature.
07:26The nature is beautiful.
07:27Beautiful.
07:28Really green.
07:29Because there's a lot of rain, but...
07:30Oh.
07:31Yeah.
07:31And I think you have a good life.
07:33Yeah.
07:34You have a good life, yeah.
07:35Yeah.
07:36We can't complain.
07:37But you are very open.
07:39Yeah.
07:39And you are very warm.
07:40Yeah.
07:41How much is the budget for the trip in Thailand?
07:44The budget was like 4,000 maybe.
07:47For the three countries.
07:49Yeah.
07:49For the three months, we had like 4,000.
07:53I think Thailand for one month, like 2,000.
07:57Oh.
07:58Because Thailand is a little bit more expensive.
08:01Thank you for time.
08:03Merci beaucoup.
08:04Merci.
08:04Merci à vous.
08:05Hi, how are you doing?
08:07Good.
08:07Where are you from?
08:09Germany.
08:09Guten Tag.
08:10Guten Tag.
08:11How long is the trip in Thailand?
08:13About three weeks.
08:15Yeah.
08:16Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
08:18Because of the culture and the weather, of course.
08:22And the beaches.
08:24Yeah.
08:24What do you do for a living?
08:25We just finished school and then we want to travel for two months.
08:30Yeah.
08:31Actually, you are very stylish.
08:33Stylish.
08:35Where did you buy your clothes?
08:37I don't know.
08:38To be honest, me either.
08:40I've had them a long time.
08:41I know, this is from Sarah and this is self-made.
08:44Like, this was a long pants.
08:47You look like a model.
08:49Yeah.
08:50Do you have any favorite brand?
08:51I don't know.
08:52Stradivarius.
08:53Adidas also, yeah.
08:55What's your plan in Thailand?
08:57We don't really have a plan.
08:58We're doing everything spontaneous.
09:00Day by day.
09:02Yeah.
09:02Where is your favorite place in Thailand?
09:05Bangkok.
09:06Yeah, so far Bangkok.
09:07Yeah.
09:08Did you go to Khao San Road?
09:09Yes.
09:11Two times.
09:12Two times, yeah.
09:13You like drinking beer?
09:15No, no, no.
09:16Not for beer.
09:16Exactly.
09:18Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand?
09:21Oh, yes.
09:22When they leave the fish out in the open on the markets and stuff.
09:26Oh, yeah.
09:27And we also saw women with like 100 dogs on a cart and selling them.
09:32It was in Chinatown.
09:33Yeah, in Chinatown.
09:35What's your future goal?
09:36I'm a future goal.
09:37Travel even more.
09:38Yeah.
09:38Yeah.
09:39Do you have any dating advice for guys?
09:42For guys?
09:43Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
09:44You gotta be nice.
09:45Yeah.
09:45You gotta be nice and respectful.
09:47Yeah.
09:48Don't just keep touching even if we don't know each other.
09:52Yeah.
09:52Thank you for time.
09:57Hi, how are you doing?
09:58Very good.
09:59All fine.
10:00Where are you from?
10:01Sweden.
10:02How long is the trip in Thailand?
10:03One month in Thailand.
10:05And then we'll do Laos and then Vietnam.
10:06And then I will go to Bali.
10:08You like the beach.
10:09I love the beach.
10:10It's not like Sweden.
10:12Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
10:14Because of the heat mainly.
10:15I was tired of my job place, so I wanted to do something else.
10:19What do you do for a living?
10:20Right now nothing.
10:21When I was back in Sweden, I did like maintenance on coffee machines.
10:25A good work.
10:25But we will both be studying in the fall.
10:28So then we won't be working for a while, I guess.
10:30One last trip before the studies.
10:32Is it your first time to come to Thailand?
10:34My first time.
10:35His second time.
10:36I was here once with my family when I was 14, I think.
10:39For two weeks.
10:40So this is more like a real trip.
10:42I can see more of the country.
10:44It's very nice.
10:45I love it.
10:45Where is your favorite place in Thailand?
10:48We've only been to Bangkok, Phuket, PP and then here.
10:51But I liked the Co-PP most.
10:54I think it's the same for me.
10:55But I must admit, Bangkok was a surprise.
10:58I didn't think it would be as beautiful as it was.
11:00But I really enjoyed it for being such a big city.
11:03So yeah, it was nice.
11:04Have you faced any culture shock in Thailand?
11:06I was in India before.
11:08That was more of a cultural shock.
11:09I think like Thailand has been very nice in every sense.
11:12And I love the country.
11:14But I have not been surprised by anything, I guess.
11:17The thing that surprised me most are the people are so polite compared to Sweden.
11:22That's true.
11:23The people are really, really nice.
11:24But I don't know if that's a shock or if it's...
11:26But it's...
11:27I didn't expect that.
11:28Compared to back home, it's a shock to me at least.
11:31Yeah, but Swedish people are very friendly, I guess.
11:33Yeah, when you start talking to them.
11:35We don't like to start talking with other people.
11:38But when you come, like start, it's good.
11:40What are you proud of about your country?
11:43I think we are very humble as a people.
11:45Like we have the feet on our ground.
11:47And I think we like, in a sense, we are proud of our country.
11:50But we are also very humble and down to earth, I would say.
11:54We don't like to speak like highly of ourselves.
11:56I would say we are kind of creative people.
11:58Yeah.
11:58Movies, music, some good athletes as well.
12:01Thank you for your time.
12:02Thank you, thank you.
12:03Tack.
12:04Varsågod, tack själv.
12:05Hi, how are you doing?
12:06Hi, I'm doing fine.
12:07Where are you from?
12:08I'm from a small town in Norway.
12:10I met some Norwegian people here.
12:12Yeah, Norwegians like Thailand.
12:15How long is the trip in Thailand?
12:17Two weeks, and I'm leaving on Wednesday.
12:19Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
12:22I've been to Thailand many times before, but not since the pandemic.
12:25So it was about time to go again.
12:28But I've never been to Krabi, so that's new.
12:30So you went to other places in Thailand?
12:32Yeah.
12:33I've been to Phuket, Bangkok, the small places, Hua Hin, and this island, Kusami.
12:39Yeah.
12:39So I've been around, but I've never been in Krabi before.
12:42How do you like Krabi?
12:43I like it a lot.
12:45It's much more quiet than Phuket and Potong and that area.
12:49So, and a lot of nice islands to just take a boat trip to.
12:53So you have everything you need here.
12:55So I like it.
12:56Where is your favorite place in Thailand?
12:59Of all the places I've been in Thailand, I think Krabi is actually, yeah.
13:04Yeah, if you want to just relax and explore and stuff, yeah, I think so.
13:09But if you're more into partying and stuff, then maybe the kids is better for that.
13:14What do you do for a living?
13:15I'm studying right now.
13:17What do you study?
13:18Economics.
13:19How much is the budget for the trip in Thailand?
13:21For this trip now, I paid around 27,000 Norwegian crowns for this trip, for these two weeks.
13:30You're a slow traveler.
13:31No, I'm actually here with my dad.
13:33Because he and my mama was actually going to go, but she couldn't get off work.
13:37So he's asked if I wanted, and so it was a spontaneous thing.
13:41It was not planned.
13:42Thank you for your time.
13:44Have a nice trip.
13:45You too.
13:46Bye.
13:47Bye.
13:48Hi, how are you doing?
13:49Fine, thank you.
13:49Really good.
13:50Yeah.
13:51You look very happy.
13:53Yes, we are.
13:54Where are you from?
13:55From Germany.
13:56From Cologne.
13:57It's in the west.
13:58How long is the trip in Thailand?
14:00I think 21 days.
14:02Yes, three weeks.
14:04It's our first week now.
14:07And you came here today?
14:08Yes.
14:09How's your impression of this place?
14:11Yes.
14:11I like the beach very much.
14:13It's so beautiful.
14:15Yeah.
14:15Also, it's really impressive.
14:17The nature, the beach.
14:19And a lot of tourists actually.
14:21But yeah, it's a beautiful place to visit.
14:23What do you do for living?
14:25Obviously students.
14:27What do you study?
14:28Dentistry.
14:29Teeth.
14:30Yes.
14:32Yeah.
14:32Beautiful teeth actually.
14:34Why did you decide to come to Thailand?
14:36Because of the weather and the nature.
14:39Yeah, we shared with Asia before.
14:41She was in Bali and I was in Vietnam.
14:43And we were like talking about it and like,
14:46Oh, Thailand is a nice place to visit.
14:48So yeah, here we are.
14:50What's your plan in Thailand?
14:51To have a good time.
14:53Yes.
14:54And to get to know the culture,
14:56to get to know a lot of lovely beaches,
14:59go snorkeling,
15:00stuff like that.
15:01Yeah.
15:01After Krabi,
15:02we are going to Kutau.
15:04We took the flight from Frankfurt to Bangkok,
15:07and then from Bangkok to Chiang Mai,
15:10and then from Chiang Mai to Krabi.
15:11Travel so far.
15:13Where is your favorite place in Thailand so far?
15:16Oh.
15:17I think it's Chiang Mai so far,
15:19but it's just because we haven't seen that much of Krabi
15:22because we just arrived.
15:23Could you tell me what you like and dislike about your country?
15:26I think that everything is so well organized in Germany.
15:30That's really, really good.
15:32And also like,
15:33every people have the same chances.
15:35Like when you want to educate yourself,
15:37like universities for free,
15:39and stuff like that.
15:40That's what I really like about Germany.
15:42And dislike?
15:44Weather?
15:45The weather is not so nice.
15:47Yes, it's really cold in the winter,
15:49and it's raining a lot.
15:51Yeah, that's annoying.
15:53Thank you for that.
15:54Thank you so much.
