How to Upgrade One UI 8.5 to One UI 9 in Samsung A Series | One UI 9 Guide | One UI 9 Features | One UI Review

In this video I’m going to show you how to upgrade your Samsung Galaxy—specifically using the Samsung Galaxy A17—from One UI 8.5 to One UI 9. This method works across all Samsung Galaxy A-series and most other Samsung devices, so let’s jump right in
First, let's take a quick look at the current software version on my Galaxy A17, which is currently running One UI 8.5.
Let’s Start
Open up your phone's Settings.
Scroll all the way down and tap on Software Update.
Tap on “Check for Updates”.
Awesome! The One UI 9 update is right here. It will start downloading automatically. Keep in mind that download times will vary depending on your internet speed and file size.

So this part may take a while. I’ll cover the new features of One UI 9 features in a separate video, so stay tuned for that in a separate video

Once the download is complete, simply tap Install Now.
Your phone will prepare the update and restart. This process might take a few minutes, so just be patient while your system installs the new software and please don’t press any buttons or switch it off.
Once the phone is back on, go to Settings, then About phone, then Software information. You should now see One UI 9 with Android 17.
The phone may feel a bit slower or the battery may drain faster while apps are optimised in the background. This usually settles down. The update also brings Android 17 and newer security patches. If it’s still slow after a few days, restart the phone and update your apps.
