00:20Nick, you have a knot that you use when you want to use one line to a swivel rather than
00:25making a loop knot and putting the loop to the swivel.
00:27Right.
00:27Could you show us how to do that?
00:28Sure can.
00:30Let's call it a bimini twist.
00:34Most important part of this knot is right here at the beginning.
00:39Double it up right there.
00:40Put it through the ring twice.
00:42Right.
00:43Get yourself a fair bit of extra tagline on the end.
00:47Start twisting.
00:48You also want to make sure that you don't have that loop around the ring right where the weld
00:54is on the ring.
00:55You want it away from that.
00:56Yeah.
00:57So he's just twisting it, holding the tension with his teeth.
01:00He went up one direction, made sure it was tight, and then he's going back down in the
01:04other direction.
01:08And when you get it back down to the ring, you finish it off.
01:11And just hitch it off.
01:13Always keep it tight.
01:14Make a half hitch around the ring, pull it tight, and do it again.
01:22Yeah.
01:26Two hitches on each.
01:34And on the last hitch here, twist it around the loop three times, wet it, pull it tight.
01:45There it is.
01:46So notice you don't have the loop here.
01:48It's a single line straight to the swivel.
01:51It's the only 100% knot.
01:52And that's it for this Rigs and Tips.
