00:02Our next speaker knows a lot about music, comedy, and the art of being delightfully unconventional.
00:11Perfect for you guys, right? Everything. And he's a musician in his own right. He was on Saturday
00:17Night Live for 11 seasons, and he is the co-creator of Portlandia, which if you haven't
00:23seen, watch it. It is so good. So we're going to welcome him in a way that he will recognize.
00:30Live from Hollywood, it's Fred Armisen.
00:37Thank you, buddy. Thank you. Wow. A good way to see the way that the B-52s have affected
00:50the world is to take a look at this crowd. Look at this crowd. Like, the B-52s audience
00:58is so specifically special and amazing. This has nothing to do with Halloween. This is
01:07how you turn up at all the shows. I love the B-52s so much. I remember when they were
01:14on
01:14Saturday Night Live, I had never seen punk rock before. This was before MTV. I had no idea that
01:23music like that existed. And it changed the course of my life to this very moment. The B-52s are
01:33still
01:33a part of my life. And a part of everything that I do is directly because of the B-52s.
01:40And I am so
01:42honored to get to know you. You're so charming, so wonderful. So I really thank you for all your music.
01:50And I think it's also, and these fans, I just want to hear you guys.
02:09Also, let's give it up for the Go-Go's.
02:13What a dream. Is this a dream? I also, two quick things. First of all, very fitting that we're right
02:22by Amoeba, as it should be. And am I crazy? Do we not talk enough about Whammy? Whammy is like,
02:31Whammy is a masterpiece. So congratulations. I'm so happy you're here. Thank you, everyone. Thank you.
02:46All right.
