00:00Happy Halloween!
00:02Ooh.
00:03Hey guys, it's Vian, and this is Beauty With Me.
00:06Every year around this time, I end up buying a ton of Halloween
00:10makeup, and by the time November hits,
00:12I have absolutely zero use for it.
00:14So in an effort to A, save money, and B, test myself creatively,
00:20I decided a challenge was in order.
00:22Today, rather than painting cat whiskers onto my face and skulls,
00:27I'm going to challenge myself to create a wearable look
00:30using Halloween products.
00:32I'm going to Ricky's NYC, aka the one-stop shop,
00:36for pretty much anything Halloween-related you could possibly
00:39need to pick up some paints, some glitters, some eyelashes,
00:44some fake blood, of course, and you are coming with me.
00:47All right, let's go shopping.
00:57This one, which has a ton of, like, fun colors
01:02that I feel like will be challenging.
01:04I can figure out how to use these in ways that might look good
01:10and not scary.
01:11This is Violet Bloss Glitter, one of my favorite kinds.
01:14There's so many options here, but I think I'm going to go
01:16with this pretty glittery pink one.
01:21Another Halloween staple, fake blood.
01:28I'm back, and I've got all my goodies.
01:31This is so much better than trick-or-treating,
01:33especially if you lived in a neighborhood like I did
01:35where you got a lot of raisins and floss.
01:38So I'm going to do this look, but first,
01:41I have to take off my eyeliner and my lipstick.
01:43Sad.
01:49Makeup off, fresh face.
01:51Let's dive into the Halloween makeup.
01:53I think I'm going to start with contouring
01:55with this round cream makeup.
01:58I've never used it to contour before, obviously.
02:01I'm going to open it up.
02:02It's very chocolatey brown.
02:05Because the texture is not ideal.
02:11Looks like this.
02:12So I have a few tools here.
02:14I have some of these classic makeup sponges, brushes.
02:19I think I'm going to go in with a brush first.
02:21This is my contour brush.
02:23I'm going to dip into the product a little bit.
02:25I don't know how pigmented this is, so I'm going to sweep it off.
02:28Yeah, this is very pigmented, so I'm taking off a little bit of the excess.
02:31I definitely went in with a pretty heavy hand.
02:34I'm going to get my sponge.
02:36A little bit of water.
02:39Squeeze out the excess.
02:42And blend this out because it's very, very intense on this side.
02:49I'm going to continue blending because I really went overboard here, but I will say that I'm
02:55going to toot my own horn, but I think we're off to a relatively good start.
02:59I'm going to go under the cheeks, and I thought that it might be cool to use this vampire blood
03:04for it.
03:05Okay, it's very wet.
03:08It's dripping.
03:09Wow, it looks just like blood.
03:12I don't know how pigmented this is going to be.
03:14I'm just going to dot it, and then I'm going to tap my finger, my ring finger.
03:21Very sheer once it's blended out.
03:27Okay, it's patchy.
03:29It's really patchy on this side of my face because I didn't work fast enough with it.
03:33So that's definitely a downside.
03:36Next up, eyes.
03:39And I got this really beautiful Ben Nye color wheel.
03:44It's in Fireworks Fantasy.
03:47I think I'm going to use this pink shade all over my lid with my fingers as well.
03:53I like to use my fingers with cream products like this.
03:57Oh, it's so beautiful.
03:59I'm going to use this brown shade, metallic brown shade, in the crease of my eye in the
04:06outer corner just to give my eyes a little bit more definition.
04:11And while my creams are still setting on my eyes, I'm going to use this beautiful glitter
04:17from Violet Voss.
04:18It's in the shade Lily.
04:21Look how pretty that is.
04:24And I'm going to use a slightly damp brush and tap that just directly onto the center of
04:37my lid.
04:40Now that this top lid situation is done, I'm going to define my lower lash line with a little
04:48bit more of the Ben Nye color wheel.
04:50So I'm going to go in with my brush, dip a little bit into the brown shade, and mix it
04:56with a bit of the pink shade.
05:02I haven't used this gigantic kit yet.
05:10There's this little cream palette of colors.
05:15It's not as smooth as I would have liked, but we're going to make it work.
05:27Not bad.
05:28It's really great for lining the eyes, not so great for precision work.
05:34So this cat eye might not be, definitely won't be the best cat eye I've ever done.
05:39I'm going to do some lashes, and I have these.
05:45Because this is supposed to be a wearable look, I'm going to cut off the silver bits.
05:49I'm left with this little strip.
05:52Oh my gosh, why is this so difficult?
05:57Ow.
05:58They're so long.
06:01This is like the opposite of a wearable look.
06:03If at first you don't succeed, try again.
06:07If you fail again, mix the eyelashes.
06:10And that is what I did.
06:11I'm going to move on to lips now.
06:13And I think I'm going to try to use these little crayons.
06:17I don't know if they're going to work.
06:19We'll see.
06:23So this is the finished lube.
06:27I gotta say, I don't hate it.
06:30I was actually really expecting to dislike pretty much all of this Halloween makeup.
06:37And I think that I was able to create a decent look with it.
06:41Like, maybe I should go around and see if people can tell.
06:45Okay, what are you doing with my eyeliner?
06:48I think it's fab.
06:49This is all Halloween makeup.
06:51Oh, really?
06:53I'm going to say Urban Decay for the eyes.
06:56Okay, I can definitely see that.
06:58Something fun and like a benefit or a...
07:02Hmm.
07:03Yeah, I'm going to go with that.
07:04Okay.
07:05Am I right?
07:06This is all Halloween makeup.
07:07Stop.
07:08Yeah.
07:09Obviously, I had a little bit of trouble with the eyelashes.
07:12But overall, I give this look two thumbs up.
07:14But thank you guys so much for watching.
07:16And I will see you next week.
07:17Bye.
