00:01Ooh, I am good at that, right?
00:04This is a good first kiss story.
00:07Kind of.
00:08I changed my MySpace status to better pull out that mouthwash and toothbrush
00:15because I'm going to be making out boys tonight.
00:19MySpace is an old version of Facebook, for those of you who don't know.
00:21It was around 13 or 14.
00:23It was like, we're going to play Spin the Bottle Truth or Dare.
00:26I was pumped.
00:27So Lauren spun the bottle around and it landed on Jessie.
00:30Jessie and Serena, you have to kiss.
00:33We started, like, making out.
00:35First of all, kissing is fun as fuck.
00:37And also, like, I'm a really good kisser.
00:38And I've been told that before.
00:40This is not just me being cocky.
00:41Like, this is true.
00:42And, you know, Jessie and I remained really good friends.
00:45I ended up giving him a hand job a couple years later.
00:47I must have been, like, six, maybe seven years old.
00:51And it was just me and Carl.
00:53And Carl was the boy with the dimples, and I loved him.
00:56Like, I was so obsessed with Carl and his dimples.
00:59Finally, one day, like, I seized the moment.
01:00It was just me and him in the school bus.
01:02And then I go up to him and I'm like, hey, I have a secret.
01:05Come here.
01:06Come, come, I have a secret.
01:08And then, boom!
01:09I loved my first kiss.
01:11And I loved my first kiss story.
01:12I liked that I was in control.
01:16And I made the decision to have my first kiss when I wanted it.
01:21I got dared to kiss a girl by my little sister.
01:23I think I let it slip to my sister.
01:25I was like, oh, your friend is kind of cute.
01:27And so my sister took it upon herself to, at some point, be like, who wants to play truth
01:32or dare?
01:33And then Amber, I think her name was, was like, Amanda?
01:37I don't even remember her name anymore.
01:40She goes, all right, true.
01:42And my sister goes, no, you're taking a dare.
01:44And then she was like, okay, dare.
01:46She's like, I dare you to kiss my brother.
01:48So the girl I was kissing was, like, right here.
01:50And my sister was, like, right here.
01:52But I want to say she was almost, like, watching.
01:54It was awkward as hell.
01:56And that's how that went down.
01:59That's how I got my first kiss.
02:01I had my first kiss probably later, I think, than a lot of people.
02:05I think I was 16.
02:06I was a junior in high school.
02:08And it was with who was one of my best friends at the time.
02:12And, you know, snow's falling outside.
02:14I'm like, wow, this is so pretty.
02:15So it was a pretty setting for a first kiss to happen.
02:18As the conversation was coming to a close, I felt him lean in.
02:21And I guess just, like, instinct took over and I started to lean in, too.
02:26Mid-lean, I, like, thought of every Disney princess movie ever.
02:29Like, they all just flashed before me, like I was about to die or something.
02:33And I remember that, like, you know, after they kissed, that's when the end credits come up.
02:38And it's, like, the end.
02:39They lived happily ever after.
02:41And I knew in that moment, I was like, this is not my happily ever after.
02:45But it was too late.
02:46The kiss was happening.
02:47So I was just very advanced and ready to move forward.
02:53So I was like, you know what?
02:54The first person I like and see that likes me, we're gonna kiss.
02:58We were, I think, at a boys and girls camp.
03:01So I told him how I felt about him and he liked me, too.
03:03So I took him outside around back where nobody was and we kissed.
03:07It was just a long, like, lip press.
03:09like mmmm. Then I just felt like I'm grown too, you know, I can do this too. So that was
03:17pretty
03:18much it. Fast forward to eighth grade. My best friend and I, we were just, you know, hanging out
03:24best friends. We played basketball. We spent a lot of time together. And, you know, it was always,
03:29it got a little closer and it was just a little, felt like more than friends at some point. And
03:37so
03:37one night, you know, she stayed the night at my house and she made her move and I was
03:41like, that was the real kiss right there. That was like that tongue action. My first kiss
03:49was horrifying. I had to really think about it before I decided to tell my first kiss story
03:54because I have never liked telling my first kiss story. So I was between the ages of four
04:00and six and I used to play with my brother and his older friend, Alex. He was just about
04:07two years older than me. So he would have been at most eight years old. Well, one day I was
04:12outside without my brother. I guess he was sick that day or something. He wasn't there. And
04:17Alex is there and he doesn't say anything, just shoves me against the wall of the apartment
04:24and shoves his tongue in my mouth. It was horrifying. It was like gross, slimy worms.
04:30I don't think I understood at the time what was happening or how I was supposed to feel.
04:34And like, even now, I kind of want to make excuses for him. I want to be like, well,
04:37we were both just kids and like, this was probably just innocent. But then at the same time, I'm like,
04:42if this was totally innocent, then like, why do I feel this sense of betrayal about it? Because I did.
04:46I think I really felt like betrayed. Oh my God. My first kiss with a girl was so completely different.
04:53I was in my 20s. I had her over to my house and we went out on the fire escape.
04:57It was like
04:57nighttime. You're like looking out over the street. And every time she would move in, I would be like,
05:02I would just start talking. I was like, I was on the subway today and I saw a really cute
05:06puppy
05:06and I thought of you and it was really cute. Finally, she just like rolled her eyes and just
05:11like kissed me while I was still talking. Yeah, it was awesome. So I think that, you know,
05:19people do give you obvious signs if they want you to kiss them. Like, you know, open body language
05:25is usually a good sign if they're like turning to face you, if they're like moving their face closer
05:29to your face. Those are all good signs. If you're still not sure though, you can just be like,
05:34I really want to kiss you. Is it okay? And like, if you're bashful about it, they might even think
05:39it's kind of cute. If you feel insecure, just, you know, go in a little bit, pull out a little
05:43bit,
05:43do a little bite of my lip. I love that. Kiss a little bit on the neck. That always gets
05:47a girl going.
05:47Maybe run your hands gently through their hair or like, I think a little earlobe stroke is always
05:53a nice touch. If you see bumps on the lips, please stay away. No shade, but just please stay away.
05:59Don't use too much tongue. The less, the better. Don't go do that. Like no one wants, no one wants
06:04that. Like, I don't want to taste what you had for lunch. If your first kiss bombs, don't sweat it.
06:10You'll have plenty of other kisses. Weirdly enough, the media makes a first kiss way too important
06:16and way too special. Taylor Swift's song, 15, pressured me so much. Like on my 16th birthday,
06:23I thought of that song and I was like, my window is closed. I always think of like the princess
06:26diaries
06:27and how she wants it to be a foot popping kiss, she calls it. Like her foot just goes boop.
06:32Like who cares if I didn't have any nap wash? It's still, my lips were good. Who cares if my
06:35lips
06:36were a little chapped? He liked it. You know, you don't have to love this person. It doesn't have to
06:40be fireworks.
06:41Pick somebody you really like or pick somebody that you feel a special connection with so that
06:46the moment is special. If somebody does something to you that makes you feel gross and creepy,
06:51you are not gross and creepy. The person who did that to you is gross and creepy and it's important
06:56for you to remember that you don't have to take that on from them. Wait, wait as long as you
07:01need to.
07:02If the connection is real, it's real. Go out there and have your first kiss and have fun kissing.
07:07Thank you so much for watching. We'll see you next time.
