00:00He told me he had cancer. Seriously, who the fuck does that?
00:05It was my time for revenge.
00:09I cheated, allegedly. Depends on what you define as cheating.
00:15He dropped the infamous, I don't want to see you anymore line.
00:20He was a stalker and I just had to go.
00:25I had to spend my entire birthday weekend with a boyfriend I didn't want to be with anymore.
00:32So, it was sophomore year of college.
00:34One morning, he calls me and he starts going into, you deserve so much better than me.
00:39And I was like, Brad, what's going on?
00:41He tells me, I have cancer.
00:43So here I am, sobbing my eyes out.
00:46I'm like, how can I help you? I'll be there for you always.
00:49And he's like, you don't deserve that. I don't want to bring you down. You have to live your life.
00:52I was like, if you ever need me, I'm here for you.
00:55And then, you know, life went on.
00:57Until, school starts back up.
00:59And it's the first night I go out with my school.
01:03And I see this motherfucker.
01:06And he is just fucking standing there with a group of girls looking not only healthy,
01:13but like he's like a little tipsy, having his fun.
01:17And then after that, I saw him at every single tailgate.
01:20He got a new girlfriend.
01:21He is still with that girlfriend.
01:23And I've never once to this day spoken to him about it because it's not worth my energy.
01:29And it takes a really fucked up person to lie about something like that.
01:32I was still in school having fun with my friends.
01:34And he was in college and apparently jealous of any friend that I had.
01:40So, he assumed that I was cheating on him.
01:43Never bothered to ask.
01:45I was not cheating on him.
01:46But he cheated on me in spite.
01:50I can't even remember who broke up with who.
01:51We were both so mad.
01:52I told him, all right, fine.
01:54You can come over to my house and pick up all your crap that's over here.
01:57So, he's got sweats, you know, t-shirts, all the crap that I stole from him.
02:01So, I put it in the washing machine, gave it a nice wash for him.
02:04Then I took it out of the washing machine and I threw it on the front porch.
02:08It was the middle of the winter.
02:09They all froze to my front porch and he had to come scrape them off.
02:14I met this girl.
02:15We're going to call her Renee.
02:16She was an amazing girl, had a nice body, very beautiful.
02:19The problem was, there were so many other beautiful women with nice faces and amazing bodies.
02:25I was very faithful to her, but I was also faithful to other women.
02:31Things started to get a little sticky.
02:33Allegedly, I found this other girl.
02:35We'll call her Tammy.
02:37And I started dating Tammy on the side, allegedly.
02:40So, Renee started to hear things and approach me about it.
02:44So, I said, hey, look, you don't trust me.
02:47I can't be with you.
02:48This is just, it's horrible.
02:50So, we broke up and I actually started dating Tammy.
02:53Now, while I was dating Tammy, I was like, man, I really miss Renee.
02:57So, Renee actually took me back.
02:59Well, I had heard through the grapevine that she was cheating on me.
03:04So, I actually confronted her.
03:07She was like, what are you, what are you talking about?
03:09Where are you getting this from?
03:10That's how I knew she was lying.
03:11I said, please, can you give me back my stuff that I paid for because you're a cheater?
03:17And I said, you messed up, girl.
03:19You messed up.
03:20So, I ended up dating this guy.
03:22He ended up being super possessive, super controlling.
03:25I couldn't go anywhere.
03:27He just didn't want me to do anything.
03:28He didn't want me to be an individual.
03:29I was really afraid to break up with this guy just because he was super controlling and possessive.
03:34So, I did it via text and he literally lost his shit and he was just like, you know, oh
03:41my God, like, how could you break up with me via text?
03:44I'm like, because you're crazy and you would have guilt tripped me.
03:46He even started hanging out on my college campus and was trying to run into me.
03:50To this day, I cannot get rid of him.
03:53I had just come off a very great three-day vacation and I was at his house to pick up
03:59my dog and I felt a vibe and I'm very straightforward.
04:03So, I was just like, you know, what's up?
04:05What's going on?
04:07And that's when he dropped the infamous, I don't want to see you anymore line.
04:12The first thing I felt was just shock.
04:15I didn't even, I didn't cry.
04:16I didn't yell.
04:17Well, I just kind of stood there for a second and the only thing I could say was okay and
04:23then when I finally got to my own house was when I let myself break down and cry.
04:28The end of my junior year of college, I realized that I didn't really want to be with him anymore.
04:33So, I went through the last couple months of my semester knowing that I was going to break up with
04:38my boyfriend.
04:39The problem is that my birthday is at the end of the semester and for once in our fucking relationship,
04:44he decides he's going to be a good boyfriend.
04:47And he's going to come visit me for my birthday.
04:50I tried so hard to tell him not to come, but this fucker, he wanted to come.
04:56So, my boyfriend came and I just kept putting it off and putting it off.
05:01I got to work on this thing.
05:02I'm sorry.
05:02I got to do this.
05:03And finally, he was just kind of like, all right, what is going on?
05:06And I had to bite the bullet and I was like, I think it's time to move on.
05:11And he just kind of stopped and stared at me.
05:13We ended up walking around the block of my house, but it was a really long walk.
05:19So, about halfway through the walk, we both realized that this was really happening.
05:23And we had to spend the rest of the walk just in total silence.
05:27We didn't say anything.
05:28And I'm just walking like, oh my God, just kill me.
05:31Let me die.
05:32Let me die.
05:33At first, post-breakup, I thought that my world was like shattering.
05:38That everything was just kind of falling on top of me.
05:40I don't think I've ever been that sad.
05:43I think the stereotype that men don't feel when it comes to breaking up in relationships
05:49is utter and complete bull crap.
05:53Working with him made my grieving process a lot longer.
05:57Three months afterwards, you're sitting there crying, watching Waiting to Exhale.
06:01Why are you doing that?
06:02I don't know, but I did.
06:04According to Sex and the City, it takes you half the time you dated someone to get over
06:08them, so I was like right on par with that.
06:10I spent a lot of time crying in the fetal position, listening to Jodeci.
06:13You just have to think that there's something out there that's better for you.
06:18Relationships hurt, especially when you break up.
06:20But overcoming that, I found a great girl.
06:23I'm in a much better relationship.
06:24I have someone that I see a very long future with.
06:27I kind of learned for myself that I am more deserving and worthy than I thought I was,
06:34that I was allowing to happen.
06:36I learned that I should always put what I need at the forefront.
06:41That doesn't mean being selfish, but if someone tells me he doesn't want something that I
06:45know I do want, you can't change that person, and you shouldn't have to.
06:49Stop and take a minute to talk to each other and really be open and honest with each other.
06:54It takes only a second to assume the worst, but you could quell all of your fears and
07:00your assumptions by just saying, hey, what's going on?
07:04Also, you need to be completely honest and transparent when a relationship is not breaking
07:09out.
07:09Cut it, clip it, 86 ASAP.
07:13Listen to yourself and remember that you're worthy of love and all that yummy stuff, so
07:19never, ever, ever deny yourself of that.
07:22Breakups are hard, but trust me, everybody bounces back, okay?
07:26And that's your time to glow up.
