A branded video of Try Living With Lucie for Revlon using the Revlon x Refinery29 lipsticks.

00:00I'm Lizzie Fink and this is 5 Days of Different Beauty Looks.
00:04Alright, let's go.
00:05So right now I'm obviously in my everyday, natural makeup look, but earlier this week
00:10I decided to challenge myself to take on the makeup looks of five Refinery29 coworkers of mine.
00:16These women are bold, they're confident, they're so, so beautiful inside and out,
00:21and each of them knows how to rock a unique beauty look.
00:24For this episode I'm partnering with Revlon and I featured a different super lustrous lipstick on each day.
00:29And every day I also use the same base products of foundation, a concealer, a brow pencil, and a setting
00:35spray.
00:36As many of you know, I typically go lighter on my daily makeup, but when I do experiment with different
00:41beauty looks
00:41I find that the lipstick in particular, which generally is the last thing that I apply onto my face,
00:46is what really changes the look and changes the overall way I feel about the style.
00:51So each of the five styles that I tried this week incorporated a different bold lip.
00:55Let's begin with Monday.
00:58The first look that I tried this week centered around a bold red lip.
01:02This look is frequently worn by my coworker Laura De La Rado, who loves rocking a cherry red lip and
01:08a black winged eyeliner.
01:10This is my super lustrous lip shade, Fire and Ice by Revlon.
01:15It is the color that I constantly go to.
01:19Laura's skin tone is more of a cool tone, so she uses Fire and Ice for her red lip.
01:24And I'm more of a warm tone person, and I actually just recently came back from a trip to Miami,
01:29so I'm looking pretty tan right now.
01:30Believe it or not, this is pretty tan for me.
01:32I chose a warm toned red lip and went with Love Is On from the Refinery29 and Revlon Make Your
01:38Mark collaboration.
01:39This shade is also available in the Super Lustrous collection all year round.
01:43Once this look was complete, I went outside and I went to the plant district to get a new plant
01:48for my window sill.
01:49This look definitely made me feel classic, and something about it just screamed Hollywood to me.
01:54But at the same time, it did feel very modern, and I rarely do a winged eyeliner look like that.
02:00But truly, the combination of the eyeliner and the lip had me feeling very empowered, and I was pounding the
02:06pavement with that plant.
02:10Tuesday's look was full glam.
02:12I was excited for this one.
02:13I may be on the natural side most of the time, but that does not mean that I don't love
02:17getting completely glammed up every now and then.
02:20Tuesday's look was inspired by Tatiana, a beauty writer at Refinery29, whose go-to signature look is a full beat
02:28face of makeup.
02:29Something that is drastically different from my day-to-day look.
02:32Every now and then, if I have an event to go to, or if I have a shoot for work,
02:36I'll wear a little bit more makeup than I normally wear.
02:38But I very rarely do a full coverage look.
02:41I knew that I wouldn't really be able to achieve this look properly if I tried to do it all
02:45by myself.
02:46So instead, I invited my friend and makeup artist, Stephanie, over to my apartment for a little bit of support.
02:52For this one, we used a foundation stick for contouring.
02:55She sprayed my face with setting spray first, and then she put on the highlighter.
03:00And apparently doing things in that order helps intensify the glow.
03:03The lip we used is super lustrous in mink, which Stephanie told me is a little bit darker than a
03:09skin tone nude.
03:09It's more of a warm nude that keeps the look monochromatic.
03:13We followed it all up with another spritz of setting spray just to keep everything in place, and then I
03:18went off to work.
03:19It was definitely a strange feeling to walk around with a full face of makeup on all day.
03:24Tatiana!
03:25Hi!
03:26I just wanted to come see my face inspiration.
03:29So, what do you think of my lips? Did you use lip liner?
03:31I did.
03:31Yes.
03:32That's super important in creating that look, especially when you want a nude lip.
03:35You don't want your lips to look too thin, so you got it right on me.
03:38I'm glad that I can serve as inspiration.
03:41There was not one coworker of mine who saw me who didn't say something to me about my face.
03:47You look great!
03:49Honestly, like, you should rock this every day.
03:51I think everyone agreed, though, that even though it was a lot, it looked really cool.
03:55I felt pretty much ready to take on anything, and truthfully, every step of the day felt like I was
04:00walking down a glamorous runway.
04:02So, while this might not be an everyday look for me, and would probably take way too much time for
04:07me to attempt every day,
04:08this was a great style for a glamorous night out, or just for any random day if I want my
04:13look to feel a bit elevated.
04:17On Wednesday, I wanted to pick a more low-key look that's a little bit more similar to my everyday
04:22style,
04:23while still having some elements that are new for me.
04:26So, Wednesday's Beauty Muse was another one of my R29 work friends, Nana Adjaman.
04:30Nana is a fashion strategist at Refinery29, and she is constantly looking fab.
04:36I love the idea of no makeup makeup.
04:39Something that's very natural, but still gives you that little special something.
04:44I'm used to that dewy and naturally shiny look.
04:47I love face oils, so even after I put my makeup on, my face is still usually glowing from that
04:52oil.
04:52But Nana actually makes her face more matte-looking, and then she pairs that with a full brow and a
04:57glossy brown lip.
04:58So, after filling in my brows, and then mattifying my skin, I followed it up with the lip.
05:03I used Super Lustrous in Coffee Bean, which is a pinky brown shade, and then I topped it off with
05:08gloss.
05:09Afterwards, I went into work, and the first thing I did was look around for Nana.
05:13It's a busy day at Refinery29, the office is buzzing, and I'm gonna go find Nana, who is my inspiration
05:19behind this look.
05:20Nana!
05:22Hey Boo!
05:23How are you?
05:24Oh, you look so pretty!
05:25Is that your on camera?
05:26Your makeup looks amazing, right?
05:28But it doesn't look like you have tried at all.
05:30It's so effortless, but when I look at your lips, I'm like super attracted.
05:33I'm like, whoa my god, these are like so cool and beautiful.
05:36What do you have on?
05:37Well, it's this right here.
05:38Coffee Bean.
05:40Love it.
05:41Do this every day.
05:41Every day.
05:42We'll be twins every day.
05:43I felt confident knowing that this look actually helped accentuate some of my favorite facial features,
05:48and helped them stand out even more, so Wednesday's look was a definite win for me.
05:55After a low-key Wednesday, I decided to really amp things up for Thursday.
05:59I spent most of Thursday morning trying to figure out whose look I should emulate for the day,
06:03and by midday, I had a major brain blast.
06:07Lydia Peng is Refinery29's creative director, and you might remember her from when I did Five Days of Different Styles.
06:14She's the one who put me in her dark minimalism outfit, and even though she did apply a black lip
06:19to me then,
06:20I've realized over time that there is so much more to her signature beauty look.
06:24I feel myself in it.
06:26I feel strong.
06:26I feel like I'm wearing my personality and my power.
06:31Thursday's look focused on a midnight black lipstick, a strong black brow, and a black cat eye.
06:37It was intense.
06:39Very dark.
06:40Very dramatic.
06:41Very not classic Lucy.
06:43After work, I had a dinner reservation with my friends Hannah and Sam, so I had a great chance to
06:48take this look outside of the office.
06:50When people are used to seeing you look a certain way, and then you show up and you just completely
06:54disrupt that idea,
06:56it can be very jarring.
06:57Initially, I myself was very aware of the makeup that I had on my face, and I wasn't exactly sure
07:02how I felt about it.
07:03But by the end of the night, I was feeling totally fearless, and I had this moment where I realized,
07:08wow, you can try a different makeup style every day, and it is an incredible exercise in confidence building.
07:15So I doubt I'm going to be rocking this dark style every single day, because truthfully, it's not the style
07:20that calls me every day the way it calls Lydia.
07:22But it's definitely something I loved and would wear out again.
07:26With the week coming to a close, I wanted to wrap up this challenge with some serious color.
07:31So on Friday, I teamed up with Mian Chan from Beauty With Me.
07:34She loves playing with pops of color and different geometric shapes, and she's really a risk taker when it comes
07:40to this stuff.
07:40On Friday, I tried a bright bluish-greenish eyeliner with a hot pink lip.
07:45I wanted the colors that I used to pop, to look very dramatic, and to have a lot of contrast.
07:50So I met with Mian at work, and she walked me through the whole application.
07:54Start in the middle.
07:55Right here.
07:56Just where it's going to get the most product.
07:57Blend it out with that doe foot up into your crease.
08:00With that what?
08:01This is the doe foot applicator.
08:03Doe foot.
08:05Yes.
08:06Good words to know.
08:07My eyelid feels like a canvas.
08:10Yes!
08:11The key here, what I like to do, which you did on this eye, is you kind of winged out
08:16the shadow here.
08:18I'm feeling good about stage one.
08:20I guess now it's time for the liner.
08:21Liner.
08:22Okay.
08:25Get the liner open.
08:27Step one.
08:29You're smashing it.
08:30It's great.
08:31Oh god.
08:32Oh gosh.
08:32Oh no.
08:33We got some liner down there.
08:35We have a problem.
08:36How's the liner?
08:37It looks so good.
08:39Yeah?
08:39I think you really need to finish it off with some mascara and move on to lips and you're
08:43done.
08:43That was kind of fast though, right?
08:45Very fast.
08:46I'm wearing Cherries in the Snow and you're wearing something different, right?
08:50Yes.
08:50I'm wearing Femme Future Pink and mine is very bright.
08:55Whoa.
08:57This is a perfect lipstick job at the moment.
09:00I am in shock.
09:02I don't like the lines to be really crisp.
09:05I like them to be a little blurred.
09:07I kind of like the more lived in look.
09:10Blur the ends of your finger basically.
09:12Huh.
09:13What a pro pro pro pro pro tip.
09:17Stunning.
09:18Neutral.
09:19Alright.
09:20Can you judge my technique?
09:21Yes.
09:22Whoa.
09:24Get the cupid's bow.
09:28It's okay.
09:29I really went outside the lines.
09:31Uh huh, uh huh, uh huh.
09:32And be careful not to get it all over your face.
09:35You're basically just softening the lines with your finger.
09:38I'm a disco diva.
09:40I'll get to it.
09:41That should be your Halloween look.
09:43And as soon as we were done, we decided to take to the streets.
09:47It took a little while to get used to the fact that I had so much makeup on my eyelids,
09:51but after a little while it felt normal.
09:53The thing I loved most about Friday was really recognizing how your face is like a blank canvas.
09:58You can paint on it.
09:59You can create art on your face in the same way that an artist paints on the canvas.
10:03And there's really so much real estate to get crafty and be creative.
10:07A makeup look is something that can define your personality and tell your story.
10:12I loved feeling excited and empowered by these different looks.
10:16And even on the days when I was a little bit nervous about the outcome, I still had fun.
10:20Which proved to me that experimenting with different colors and styles
10:23is definitely a great way to keep things exciting and fresh.
10:27Thanks so much for watching our beauty episode.
10:29Bye!
