00:14Today we're going to show you how to do a modern metallic eye for New Year's Eve.
00:18So we're going to start with an already lined eye.
00:21We're going to take a dark metallic charcoal color and dust it over the lid,
00:27focusing on the outside of the eye.
00:30This will give us a base color and help it to look modern.
00:33Tip your chin up when applying dark shadows.
00:36This will help the particles not fall on your face.
00:40Using a smaller brush, we're going to dust the same color shadow along the lower lash line,
00:45focusing on the outside.
00:49Take a small amount of primer and dab it on the center of your eyelid.
00:54This is going to give something for the shimmer to stick to.
00:57Now we're going to take our metallic eye shadow in a bold silver,
01:02tap the excess off the brush, and pat it over the primer.
01:06Keep layering for a more dramatic effect.
01:10Finish the look with a couple coats of mascara.
01:13It's alright if it looks a little clumpy.
01:15This will give some definition to the lash line because the rest of the look is so shimmery.
01:20Here is our final shimmer eye.
01:23It's sophisticated yet sexy.
