00:17When I was in high school I used to put on little makeup just to like hide the places
00:20I hated on my face until my first girlfriend was like, I know you put on makeup and I stopped
00:25that day.
00:25I was expecting just, you know, basic mascara and this is a double sided thing right here.

00:36It's, I keep looking at this and I'm like fine and I look down and I'm like, ugh.

00:45This definitely goes on your skin.
00:47This is my old friend, this is the thing I used to put on every day.

01:14More looking forward to this than I thought I'd be because on Friday I went out drinking
01:19with some of my friends from boxing and someone accidentally punched me in the face and gave
01:25me a little bit of a black eye there.
01:26So I'll be able to conceal that.

01:35I realized on my run that I should probably shave before I do this.
01:42Now I look like a guy who works in a minefield.

02:11I've been out for like about two hours and two men have already catcalled me.

02:43So my female friend told me that I didn't put anything on.
02:45So she redid my whole face.
02:48And now I feel like I definitely have some makeup on.

03:02It was very traumatic.

03:14Day two of makeup was less eventful than day one.
03:19I think I figured out how to do my makeup a little bit more subtly.
03:24Today was the day I put on a lot more than I did the day before.
03:27And so I could feel the energy was different a little bit.
03:30It was totally okay.
03:31I did get some catcalls, you know, in the beginning.
03:33Day two was a success.
03:36Day three makeup challenge.
03:39It is hot right now.
03:43I'm dying.
03:45But the challenge must go on, obviously.
03:49I'm excited to be done with this.
03:53It's been fun, but street harassment thing, that was like an eye opener for me.
04:00Because I've never felt like unsafe on the street.
04:03But in that moment, it was like someone identifying me as someone that they could take advantage of in a
04:08sense.
04:09And I never, I'm like 6'2", and like somewhat built.
04:14Like I've never felt that way before.
04:17So I definitely empathize a lot more now.

04:24Also, I think my skin is starting to break out from the makeup being on it.
04:28Even though I'm using the makeup wipes and like washing my face regularly,
04:32I'm still like seeing a little bit of like the red dots.
04:35I look deep fried a little bit.
04:38Just hung out with some friends of mine who have known me my whole life.
04:41Had no idea I was wearing makeup.
04:44So I think I'm getting pretty good at this.
04:46The two guys did not catcall me today.
04:49I don't know if that means that my makeup is out on point.
04:53Or if just there's other fresh ladies that are taking their attention.
04:59The end of day three.
05:01The end of this crazy little experiment.
05:04Day three ending and I'm pooped.
05:08I don't know, I don't know how ladies remotely do this.

05:14I'm just, that's a lot of hassle.
05:18The makeup challenge was really cool.
05:19I enjoyed it.
05:20It was, it kind of changed my perceptions a little bit.
05:23I went in thinking something.
05:24Came out like I had the idea that everyone was going to be like looking and pointing like I was
05:29in Frankenstein.
05:30That didn't happen.
05:31People go about their day.
05:32It was all in my head.
05:33It was like a growing experience.
05:35It definitely taught me a lot.
05:36And it was kind of exciting at times.
05:38And the biggest challenge was my own anxieties.
05:42My own building it up in my head.
05:44It was never as bad as I thought it would be.
