00:00Hi, I'm Julie Kandelack, and I'm a celebrity and editorial manicurist here in New York City.
00:04For today's beauty quickie, I'm going to show you a new way of how to use your shattered
00:08polishes.
00:14Most of you have probably used shattered polishes before, but I'm going to show you a few different
00:18designs that you can do with them.
00:20To start, apply two layers of your base color.
00:23Be sure that it's completely dry before you apply the shattered polish.
00:26The tip is, whichever way you stroke the brush is the same direction the pattern will appear.
00:33The first look that I'm going to show you is how to do a herringbone pattern.
00:38Apply the shattered polish in opposing directions.
00:51The second look I'm going to show you is how to apply it on a diagonal.
00:54Start from one corner and move to the opposite corner.
01:09The third look is a simple S shape, leaving some of your base color showing in between.
01:23Don't forget to apply top coat to seal in your final look.
01:28So there you have it, three new ways to use your shattered polishes.
01:31Take a look!
