00:04It is important for women to have their one style staple that makes you feel super special and
00:10confident when you wear it. At the end of the day you're the only person that can make yourself feel
00:15good. My secret weapon for empowerment is my lazy oaf dress. This dress is really empowering because
00:21first of all it says lazy oaf all over it, second of all it's very form-fitting and it makes
00:27it
00:27hugs all of my curves it makes me look really hot it makes me feel really hot. From where I'm
00:31from
00:31in the Dominican Republic people think that straight hair is beautiful and curly hair is
00:35thawed. Once I moved here 10 years ago I discovered that I'm beautiful just the way I am with my
00:40curly
00:40hair. I got my leather jacket a little over a year ago. I was walking downstairs at my job and
00:49I saw
00:49it on the free table where people tend to just add anything that they just don't need and I saw
00:56it and
00:57it was in my size and it was the only thing on the table and it's been with me ever
01:01since and I
01:04love it. Some people have a tendency to kind of hide their natural beauty behind hair or clothes or
01:10whatever it is so what I've started to do is throw my hair up in a high pony. This allows
01:15me to kind of
01:17focus on my natural features so what I like to do is take some black mascara and eyeliner and kind
01:24of
01:24create this like cool like cat eye and then compliment that with some bold red lipstick.
01:30The first time I wore this dress was on my first day at a new job and I was kind
01:35of nervous about
01:35it because it's very bold it says the word lazy on it but everyone had a really good reaction to
01:42it
01:42and everyone remembered me after I wore it. I got my nose pierced when I was 18. I don't know
01:46there's
01:46just something about it I think it has a lot to do with the fact that a piercing and what
01:51that symbolizes
01:51it's not an easy process it's one that's slightly painful so to endure that and it shows on your face
01:58just to me shows a sense of resilience and strength and I just feel like a fucking badass with my
02:05nose ring.
02:06Each one of these pins represents a person in my life that is super incredibly special to me.
02:12We all have different idiosyncrasies that make us special so why not use something to enhance
02:18that idiosyncrasy even further with your physical appearance.

02:37What's yours?
