Allow us to introduce the vagina facial, a.k.a. the ’vagacial." Vagacials are controversial treatments, because the vagina takes care of itself and experts are hesitant to tamper with natural processes. But in this episode, Mi Anne will test this procedure to see if it is safe for use - and if the results are positive or negative.

00:01This is the weirdest thing I've ever done. It's just so funny.
00:06Hey guys, it's me Anne and welcome back to Beauty With Me.
00:09Today we are going to talk about vaginas.
00:12I don't know about you, but I am prone to ingrown hairs.
00:15Sorry if this is TMI.
00:17No joke, I once had an ingrown hair so gnarly I had to give it a name.
00:21Claudette.
00:22While I did learn a valuable lesson,
00:24don't wear tight stockings while walking around the cobblestone streets of Paris for hours on end,
00:28I did what many women do when faced this dilemma.
00:31I self-operated.
00:33And now I have a scar to prove it.
00:35Now before we dig any deeper, see what I did there?
00:38Let me give you a little bit of background knowledge on ingrown hairs, a primer if you will.
00:45Now most professionals would say to stay away from shaving altogether,
00:48but I know that not everyone has the time or money to get waxed or lasered.
00:52So here are six rules of shaving you should always abide by.
00:56One, trim your hairs.
00:58Two, make sure you always wash your bikini line and vulva with an antibacterial, fragrance-free soap.
01:05Three, use a shave oil or cream.
01:07No one wants a razor blade tugging on their skin.
01:09Four, shave in the direction of your hair growth.
01:12Five, when it comes to hair between the labia, proceed with caution.
01:15My advice, leave it to a professional.
01:18Six, finish off with a calming product like aloe vera gel to soothe and hydrate your skin.
01:22Between my experience with Claudette and a slew of friends asking me how to deal with ingrowns,
01:27it got me thinking, is there any recourse?
01:30So I did a little digging on the internet and I found a treatment called the Peach Smoothie at Haven
01:35Spa
01:35that's specifically designed to treat your vulva, AKA the area down there that grows hair.
01:42So, naturally, I jumped on the opportunity to try it out.
01:45That, my friends, is what you'll be witnessing today.
01:48You guys are getting to third base faster than my boyfriend did.
01:51Hi, I'm Camille.
01:52I'm a beauty blogger on YouTube.
01:54I have a channel called Offbeat Look where I do lots of hair tutorials, mostly hair dye tutorials,
01:59but we're here doing something very different today.
02:01What do you normally do in terms of maintenance in your pubic area?
02:07So, I shave normally because I have tried waxing and...
02:12Not fun?
02:14No, no, no.
02:14I've never done wax before.
02:16Yeah, no, you should try it once and then that'll probably be it.
02:19And then never again.
02:19Should we just get it over with?
02:21Yeah.
02:22Let's do it.
02:22Alright, let's go.
02:24First, my esthetician, Marta, took me to a private room where I undressed from the waist down.
02:29Time to get sexy.
02:31Disposable underwear off.
02:34This is going to be nice and warm.
02:37I like you.
02:38You're so funny.
02:39Next, she lathered me up with soap and did a thorough clean of my vulva.
02:42She was wearing gloves the whole time.
02:44Let me cleanse it nicely.
02:49You guys.
02:50Do you do this to yourself?
02:52No.
02:56Comfortable?
02:57Yeah.
02:58Yeah.
02:58You're not used to somebody touch you like this, huh?
03:01Yeah, no.
03:02Not used to it.
03:04Not with strangers.
03:07Treat me as a sister.
03:09I'm not too stranger.
03:10Next, she put on an exfoliating mask to prep my skin for extractions.
03:14My favorite part.
03:15It's like a massage.
03:18You're not getting excited, are you?
03:21Okay, this may slightly tingle.
03:23Where's the mask?
03:25The green tea lactic acid peel.
03:28That's the peel.
03:29How is that?
03:32A lot?
03:33Yeah.
03:33One to ten.
03:34Like a seven.
03:35Seven?
03:36Probably, yeah.
03:37Because I shaved earlier today.
03:39That's the green tea lactic acid.
03:43It's not.
03:44It doesn't hurt.
03:45It really doesn't hurt.
03:47Maybe I have a really sensitive vagina.
03:50Is that it?
03:51No.
03:52Pay to you.
03:53No.
03:56After removing all of the ingrown hairs that she could, Marta finished off with a soothing clay mask and a
04:01little bit of toner.
04:02I will leave it on for a few minutes and I rinse it off.
04:05Oh, it feels good.
04:06Soothing.
04:07So you may a little bit peel, but when you get this even a little bit like shadow, from like
04:14shaving and stuff, it will be much more brighter.
04:16Give a week.
04:18Okay, you're amazing today.
04:21So are you.
04:22I feel rejuvenated.
04:25Vaginally.
04:29I want to know what you thought about that.
04:31It was different than I expected.
04:34Did it hurt?
04:35The extraction?
04:36The extractions actually didn't hurt, but the acid peel is what, it stung a little bit.
04:42It did tingle for me, but the extractions were what it was the most like.
04:46I was really afraid that it was going to be like really awkward.
04:50So I wasn't actually as afraid about it being painful.
04:53I was just like, is it going to be really weird?
04:54Like, am I going to feel weird about it?
04:56But it was actually really fun.
04:58I don't know if that's like the right word to use, but it was really funny and she and Marta
05:02was really great and nice.
05:04And I felt like, I just had a good time getting a vajacial.
05:07Yeah, I mean I think that's the point of a spa.
05:10I know.
05:11Words I never thought I'd say.
05:13All in all, the peach smoothie was hands down the most practical treatment I've ever tried.
05:18For me, $55 is 100% worth it if it means leaving a spa completely free of ingrown hairs.
05:25For those of you who don't have access to a spa like that though, there are a few things that
05:29you can do at home.
05:30First off, try to avoid getting ingrown hairs in the first place by following the six rules of shaving.
05:38Secondly, try investing in an ingrown hair serum.
05:41Marta recommends Wish's ingrown hair serum, which I haven't personally tried, but she swears by it.
05:46My personal favorite is Furze Pute.
05:49It's not called the Pute Oil.
05:50My personal favorite is Furze Oil.
05:53It has tea tree oil in it, which is antibacterial,
05:55jojoba oil, which is hydrating,
05:57and clary sage seed oil, which reduces inflammation.
06:00It smells good too.
06:02And lastly, never, ever, ever pick.
06:05I know that I'm one to talk,
06:07but that will lead you down a really nasty path of scarring and just general discomfort.
06:12So just don't do it.
06:13You will regret it.
06:14So what do you guys think?
06:15Do you have any remedies for pesky ingrowns?
06:17And would you ever try a vagina facial?
06:19Let me know in the comments below and see you next time on Beauty With Me.
06:22You should try Let It Grow and I do you Brazilian.
06:25Ooh!
06:26That's when they wax your butthole.
06:29That's what I'm saying.
06:30I'm scared.
