00:06Pride, history, heritage, you can find it all in Ecuador.
00:10As a foodie who cares about sustainability, discovering where and how my food is sourced is a passion of mine.
00:17So I jumped at the chance to see how Dove Chocolate gets its start.
00:22And among the world's sources of cocoa, Ecuador has been at the forefront for centuries.
00:28Ecuadorian cocoa is one of a kind, ranging in flavor from fruity to nutty to chocolate forward.
00:34But it's the extremely rare floral notes that really set it apart.
00:39Look closer, and you'll find that family-run farms are at the heart of it all.
00:43I've been working on this plant for more than 40 years.
00:46I've been working on my father.
00:49Of course, we can grow every product with their family.
00:54Cocoa is their past, present, and future. So sustainability means everything.
01:01How they grow their beans, how they harvest their beans.
01:04The growers here are constantly looking for ways to improve cocoa farming, just like Dove.
01:10And it's farms like this that help us in our mission to use 100% certified cocoa by 2020.
01:17Our children, they're going to take the same way of our work.
01:24That has been our satisfaction, thanks to the product that we've cultivated.
01:30For Dove, it's about the beans and a belief that it takes people and a passion to make cocoa so
01:37perfect.
01:37It's what makes Dove a pleasure with purpose.
