Where there are so many public shootings across the country, it's hard not to put gun laws at the top of your intelligence.

00:00Just seeing all of the college shootings and the school shootings that happen across the
00:05country, I think my number one issue is gun violence.
00:09There were 372 mass shootings in 2015.
00:15That's just unacceptable.
00:19It doesn't make any sense.
00:21That's more than one for every day of the year, is my reaction to that.
00:26That's shocking and disturbing, and it's just, yeah, it's very sad.
00:3511% of us believe that gun rights are the most important issue facing America right now.
00:40There's just so many illegal, unregistered weapons out on the streets.
00:48When we see mass shootings happen abroad, we say, oh, that's so terrible, that's so horrible.
00:52And then when they happen here, we say, oh, that's just a way of life.
00:55It's the price we have to pay to, you know, protect people who want to hold onto their guns.
01:01It's like, how many young people have to be shot?
01:05How many, you know, school shootings and public shootings have to happen?
01:11It's really, it's really, it's kind of ludicrous at this point.
01:14It boggles my mind that we have what seems to be an epidemic, and yet we are so allergic to
01:20the idea of restriction and regulation.
01:24The amount of gun violence that we're seeing and the lack of action and resolve in politicians is one of
01:31the reasons that money needs to come out of politics.
01:35I don't understand why there's no legislation in place to make it harder for people to get guns. It doesn't
01:42make sense.
01:43We have to have a real discussion about what the Constitution intended.
01:47Our Constitution is a living document. The Second Amendment was ratified at the same time that quartering soldiers was ratified.
01:55I think the Founding Fathers might have a different opinion about the fact that you can buy an M16.
02:01I can't imagine that I would ever feel safer knowing that I could carry a gun, or knowing that somebody
02:07else that I pass on the street would also be able to carry a gun. It's terrifying.
02:12There are common sense gun measures that politicians aren't willing to touch with a stick because they're pandering to this
02:20very intense, full of rage minority of people
02:25who think that anything that clarifies their gun ownership in any way is a violation of their constitutional rights.
02:32When it's really just common sense and about taking care of the American people.
