00:07run to god from mental agreement to active faith when trouble comes where do you run
00:15have you ever known exactly what god's word says believed his promises and encouraged somebody else
00:22to trust him yet when trouble came knocking on your door you struggled to put that same word
00:29into practice you know god is faithful but fear took over you know god is with you but uncertainty
00:35made you question what is happening you know you should pray but perhaps your first instinct
00:41was to withdraw become discouraged or try everything out in your own strength when your
00:49faith is tested do you run away from god or do you run towards him because there is a difference
00:55between knowing the road and walking it between hearing god's word and obeying it and between
01:01agreeing that god is faithful and continuing to trust him when you cannot see the outcome
01:07james 1 22 challenge us to be doers of the word not hearers only today we are going to discover
01:15how to move from mental agreement to active faith not by pretending our problem problems do not exist
01:23but by learning to turn to god trust his word and respond in obedience so when trouble tests your
01:31faith will you run from god or will you run to god stay with us because this is a truth

02:42verse 22 james 1 22 and as you can see on the screen we're going to be reading from the
02:48amplified
02:48classic version but be doers of the word obey the message and not merely listeners to it betraying

04:35comment section as well amen amen amen all right let's as usual let's just check out and see who is
04:43already online all right and it looks like we already have a few people here all right let me give
04:50you as usual an introduction into today's study all right run to god from mental agreement to active
04:59faith so when god speaks his word demands a response
05:06it's not just a matter of i'll wait for the lord be over spiritual i'll wait for the lord and
05:10you're
05:11praying in tongues three days three days in a row and you're not drinking and you're not eating until
05:16god's answers you in a supernatural way come on god may show you grace at the beginning when you're
05:23young but it can't there comes a time when god says you know what grow up grow up i know
05:29god is
05:30spiritual but we need to grow up and stop playing church stop playing supernaturals over spiritual
05:37come on there is a place for it remember the supernatural needs to be confirmed by the word
05:43of god and and vice versa they walk together the word inspired by the holy spirit the word is lord
05:51jesus christ right and the supernatural accompanies our lord jesus christ but everything is based on the
05:58word of god it cannot be outside of his word amen amen so today we're going to examine one of
06:05the most
06:05important responses a believer can make how we respond to god's word when life becomes difficult
06:14so let me ask you something have you ever known what the bible says about trusting god yet found
06:21yourself struggling to trust him when the pressure was on have you ever encouraged someone else
06:28to stand firm in the faith only to discover that you needed that same encouragement when your own
06:35circumstances became challenging if so you're you are not alone so many believers genuinely love god
06:44study the word and believe his promises we know that he is faithful lots of us know that that he
06:52hears
06:53our prayer and that his word is true yet when disappointment uncertainty financial pressure family challenges
07:01sickness or unexpected trouble arise the difference between what we know and how we respond can become
07:09painfully apparent why does this happen knowing a truth intellectually and putting that truth into practice
07:18are not always are not always the same thing james chapter 1 verse 22 tell us to be doers of
07:25the word
07:25and not hearers only james is challenging us to move beyond simply recognizing biblical truth to allowing
07:34that truth to shape our decisions attitude and action so james 2 17 reinforces this principle by teaching that
07:44faith without works is dead now we must understand this carefully we are not saved by earning god's favor
07:53through our works we are saved by god's grace through faith as ephesians 2 verses 8 and 9 teaches
08:01rather our actions demonstrate the reality of the faith we profess and ephesians 2 10 reminds us that we are
08:09created in christ christ jesus four good works our obedience does not purchase god's love it is a response
08:17to his grace and truth in that we must also recognize that struggling does not automatically mean someone has no
08:26faith
08:27in mark chapter 9 verse 24 a father cried out to jesus lord i believe help my unbelief what a
08:35powerful feature of
08:36honest faith not pretend yeah this man did not pretend that his struggle did not exist he brought his imperfect
08:46struggling faith directly to jesus and asked for help he didn't run away and in matthew chapter 14 we see
08:54peter stepping out of the boat at jesus command when fear overcame him and he began to sink he cried
09:00out
09:01lord save me jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him you see these accounts reminds us
09:08that faith is not about pretending we never pretending we never experience fear or weakness it is about
09:17learning to turn to the lord trust his character and respond to his word even when the journey is difficult
09:24so what does that mean to run to god it means that when trouble comes we seek his presence
09:33rather than deliberately withdrawing from him when we sin we confess our sin and receive his forgiveness
09:39when his word calls us to act we seek to obey when we cannot see the outcome we continue to
09:46trust
09:47his faithfulness and when we are struggling we ask him for help rather than pretending we have
09:52everything together we must also remember that faith is not a formula for forcing god to give us
09:59what we desire we do not manufacture promises he has not made deny the reality of our circumstances
10:07or assume that every outcome we hope for is guaranteed instead we trust god in who he is believe
10:16what he has actually said in his word seek his wisdom and remain faithful as we walk with him
10:23today we will explore five important questions number one when trouble comes where do we where do you run
10:31number two what is the difference between mental agreement and active faith number three what can peter's
10:38experience teach us about stepping out in faith and crying out for help number four where we will we
10:45continue to trust god's faithfulness when we cannot see or feel the outcome number five how can we speak
10:53the truth and live out without pretending presuming or fearing and as usual we will finish with a summary
11:00and a declaration prayer so our purpose today is not to condemn those who are struggling it is to encourage
11:07every believer to grow in genuine practical faith because the goal is not merely to know more about
11:15god's word the goal is to know him more deeply trust him more fully and live out his truth more
11:22faithfully
11:23so let us open our hearts examine our responses and discover what it means to run to god from mental
11:31mental agreement to active faith amen amen all right number one number one when trouble comes
11:37where do you run all right so we're going to be touching on uh several scriptures there's many
11:43scriptures in the bible but some of those that we're going to be touching on is hebrews 4 16
11:49and 1 john 1 9. so when trouble trouble comes do we run away from god or run towards him
11:58it is often easier to run from god than to come to him when we are in trouble thoughts such
12:06as
12:06what have i done wrong or where is god in this situation can easily lead us to withdraw from him
12:13instead
12:14of seeking his help we may allow these questions to push us away from god quieting our conscience
12:22the key to running to god lies in how we see him and how accessible we believe he is to
12:30us
12:31do we see him as a good god a loving father and our savior or do we see him as
12:37a distant or
12:38harsh father who allows bad things to happen to us yet his word encourages us to draw nearer to him
12:47hebrews
12:484 16 tells us to come boldly to his throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in our
12:56time of need
12:57hebrews 4 16 in the amplified classic let us then fiercely and confidently and fearlessly
13:07that's what i said fearlessly yes and confidently i think and confidently and boldly draw near to the
13:14throne of grace the throne of god's unmerited favor to our sinners that we may receive mercy for our
13:23failures and find grace to help in good time for every need appropriate help and well-timed help coming
13:31just when we need it and when we sin 1 john 1 9 reminds us to confess our sins and
13:39trust in his forgiveness
13:42so instead of hiding from god we can come to him honestly seek his mercy and allow him to guide
13:49us
13:49we are aware that not every trouble is caused by sin but whatever we face we can turn to god
13:55rather
13:55than deliberately withdraw from from him jeremiah 29 verse 11 god's thoughts towards us are good his desires
14:06he desires our well-being gives us hope and has a purpose and a future for our lives let me
14:15give you
14:15a life analogy a practical example here imagine a young child playing outside who suddenly falls scrapes a
14:24knee and begins to cry the child has two choices hide because they are embarrassed and afraid of being in
14:30trouble or run to a loving parent who can comfort them clean the wound and provide the care they need
14:38a loving parent does not need the child to pretend the pain is not real before offering comfort the
14:44child can come with tears questions and uncertainty because the parent's presence is a place of safety
14:51even if the child contributed to a to the situation through carelessness
14:56the appropriate response is not to hide an injury but to come forward honestly and receive the help
15:03needed in the same way when we encounter trouble we should not assume that god wants us to hide from
15:09him
15:10hebrews 4 16 invites us to approach his throne of grace for mercy and help in our time of need
15:17when we have sin 1 john 1 9 encourages us to confess our sins and to trust his faithfulness to
15:23forgive
15:23and cleanse us not every difficulty is caused by personal sin and we should never automatically
15:32interpret suffering as evidence of god's displeasure whatever we face we can tend to him honestly seek
15:40his wisdom and receive his grace do not allow fear shame or uncertainty to drive you away from the very
15:48one
15:49you need to turn to amen amen okay number two what is the difference between mental agreement and active
15:56faith and with this one we're gonna take that from the scriptures of james chapter 1 verse 22 and james
16:032 17
16:05so can someone know god's word but still fail to put it into practice yes james chapter 1 verse 22
16:13tell us
16:14to be doers of the word not hearers only james chapter 1 verse 22 from the npc says this but
16:21be doers of the
16:22word obey the message and not merely listeners to it betraying yourselves into deception by reasoning
16:29contrary to the truth james chapter 2 verse 17 teaches that faith without work works is dead knowing
16:38what god says is important very important but faith should influence how we live see mental agreement
16:47acknowledge the truth but active faith responds to that true truth through our action i'll give you an
16:55example an example an example of mental agreement is knowing what god's words teaches but continually
17:02refusing to act on what he has clearly instructed us to do often we find ourselves waiting for something
17:10significant to happen before we can move forward you know like when this big miracle come forth
17:17and the and something happened then i know i can move forward but that's that's really our own thoughts and
17:27our own ideology
17:28because real faith says because god's words is true and because i believe in what he has done through the
17:36cross
17:37i choose to trust his promises it believes not because of feeling or outward signs these are there
17:44these um these um these are there for um for testimony and all that but the promises of the word
17:53of god is
17:53based on his word not of feelings not outward signs because god is faithful to his word real faith continues
18:03to
18:03believe until it sees god's promise fulfilled according to his will and it keeps speaking god's truth
18:10until it can testify of what he has done this does not mean that every struggle proves someone's lack
18:17faith like we were talking before it means we should be willing to obey god's word even when doing so
18:24is
18:25difficult or we don't understand all the time let me give you a practical life analogy imagine someone
18:31planning a journey to a destination they have never visited they study a map examine the roads identify the
18:39turns and become completely familiar with the route if someone asks them how to get there they can
18:47explain the journey accurately however knowing the road the road or the route does not transport them
18:54to their destination at some point they must put their knowledge into practice get into the vehicle and
19:01begin traveling they may encounter road works unexpected detours or even difficult conditions but their knowledge
19:10becomes practical practically useful when they respond to the information and adjust their actions accordingly
19:19in the same way we can become familiar with the scripture without allowing him to influence our daily
19:26decisions we may know that god words god word call us to forgive yet continuing holding on to bitterness
19:35we may know that we should pray yet continually neglect prayer we may understand the importance of generosity
19:41honesty and obedience without putting those principles into practice john's john james chapter 1 verse 22
19:50challenges us to move beyond hearing the word while james chapter 2 17 teaches that faith without works
19:58is dead our actions do not earn salvation rather genuine faith should increasingly influence how we live
20:06knowing the truth is important but we must also respond to the truth we know amen amen number three
20:16what can peter's experience teach us about stepping out in faith and crying out for help okay so we're going
20:24to be
20:24touching on matthew 14 verses 22 to 33 let's see how peter demonstrates faith through action amen so in
20:36matthew 14 28 to 29 peter stepped out of the boat when jesus told him to come but when he
20:43saw the wind he became
20:44afraid and began afraid and began to sink he cried lord save me and jesus immediately reached out and
20:51caught him matthew 14 30 to 31 peter acted on jesus's word when he was told to come but he
21:01also experienced
21:02fear and needed help peter stepped out of the boat in response to jesus's command but fear came this didn't
21:10stop him from calling on jesus did it so active faith doesn't mean we will never feel afraid it means
21:19that when we struggle we will still turn to jesus we should also remember that peter was responding to
21:27a specific command from jesus this is not a teaching that we should take every risk that comes to mind
21:36and call it
21:37faith no i'm not saying that we must seek to follow what god has actually revealed in his word to
21:47you
21:51oh but heidi baker oh but uh bill johnson oh but kenneth hagan oh but kevin scotten oh but benny
21:58hin all but katherine crick all but david digger heron anders all but vlad all but i don't care
22:06wake up people i don't care what god said to those people i am glad they have their calling i
22:13am glad
22:14and i support them as brothers and sisters but their calling is not your calling stop this babyish
22:20childish over spiritual nonsense stop it we are spirit beings we're called to walk in power yes
22:30but we must not throw this out god gave us a brain for a reason he fills us with his
22:36word to act but
22:37to act upon what upon what he's told you to act upon not what he told honey baker nobody told
22:43bill johnson
22:44what he told you to act the bible does not say what how did you say it today and once
22:50you've completed
22:51it all once having done all having done all that's it that's the bible verse having done all stand still
22:58stand still so in another words having done all that god's told you that's right not others you're
23:05not called to do all that todd white or all that whatever other minister no having done all that god's
23:14told you to do then stand still or else you know what god will create cookie cutter thing uh cookie
23:21cutters like cookies you know so you a row of heidi beggar go on this side you a row of
23:27bill johnson go
23:28to this side no god says i've created you i know you you are uniquely made what does that mean
23:35we need to run
23:36our race while being an encouraging toward others who are in their race we need to have our relationship
23:44with god because we are unique what you can do maybe heidi beggar can't do what heidi beggar can do
23:51maybe not what god have called you to do you need to finish your race and when was it um
23:57paul i think
23:58he said i've done it i've run my race he didn't say i've run all the apostles and the disciples
24:04race
24:05he's raised we should honor we should respect we should gain value from the lives that's right and
24:12the amazing faithfulness of those ministers yes and i've met heidi beck and i met bill johnson i met
24:18randy clark and i met all those people and i am grateful to god for those generals and for those
24:25people in the body of christ but we are not called to be them we are called to be us
24:32it's when you
24:34understand that and you walk in that true identity that god's given you you will see power like you've
24:40never seen before you will see god move in your life like you've never seen before
24:45let me give you a life analogy here imagine a child learning to ride a bicycle a parent can explain
24:51how
24:51to hold the handlebars maintain balance pedal and steer but the child cannot develop those practical
24:57skills simply by listening right the child must eventually climb onto the bicycle and begin
25:03practicing at first the bicycle may wobble the child may lose balance and the parent may need to
25:09provide support a fall or a moment of uncertainty does not mean that learning is impossible with
25:17guidance practice and perseverance the child gradually becomes more confident and capable
25:24our walk with god also requires us to respond to his word rather than merely admire the truth
25:32peter stopped uh peter stepped out of the boat because jesus told him to come
25:41when he became frightened by the wind he began to sink he cried out to jesus who immediately reached out
25:48his hand and caught him peter's experience reminds us that stepping out in obedience does not mean we will
25:55never struggle when fear arises we can still call upon the lord however this passage is not permission to take
26:03reckless risks and label them faith or to take other people's path and call it your calling peter was
26:14responding to a specific instruction from jesus we should likewise seek to follow god's revealed word
26:22and exercise wisdom in the decisions we make active faith responds to jesus and struggling along the way
26:30is no reason to stop calling upon him amen amen all right number four will we continue to trust
26:38god's faithfulness when we cannot see or feel the outcome wow so we're gonna take it from the
26:45scriptures of hebrews chapter 10 verse 23 and 2 corinthians chapter 5 verse 7 so what happened when we
26:53cannot see the outcome or feel confident about our situations and i'll tell you what all of us has gone
26:59through it if someone said they haven't knock them no i'm joking hebrews chapter 10 verse 23 encourages us
27:07to hold firmly to our hope because god is faithful hebrews chapter 10 verse 20 from the kjv says this
27:15let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering for he is faithful that promised
27:24to corinthians chapter 5 verse 7 remind us that we walk by faith and not by sight our trust in
27:31god
27:31should not depend entirely on our feelings or what we can presently see that does not mean we can expect
27:40every desire to happen simply because we believe it now we must trust what god has actually promised in
27:49the scripture without assuming that every personal desire or expected outcome is guaranteed faith means
27:57trusting god's faithfulness while continuing to seek his wisdom and obey his word let us give you a
28:04practical life analogy imagine a farmer who plants seeds at the appropriate time and begins to page the
28:13the patient work of cultivating the field for a period there may be little visible evidence of progress
28:21the farmer cannot dig up the seeds every morning to check whether they are growing nor can the farmer
28:27demand that the harvest arrive immediately instead the farmer continues to provide appropriate cares
28:35observe the conditions and works accordingly to what is needed while waiting for the crop to develop
28:43yet even with careful preparation the weather soil conditions and other factors may influence the
28:50final harvest a farmer can work faithfully without having absolute control over every outcome
28:59similarly our faith must not depend entirely on whether we feel confident or can immediately see the
29:05result we desire hebrews chapter 10 verse 23 call us to hold firmly to our hope because the one who
29:13promise is faithful again 2 corinthians chapter 5 verse 7 remind us that we walk by faith and not by
29:20sight
29:20this does not mean that every personal desire is a guaranteed promise from god or that every prayer
29:26will be answered in a way or a manner or time that we expect it means we continue trusting god's
29:34character
29:34obeying his words seeking his wisdom and remaining faithful even when the outcome is uncertain
29:41faithfulness faithfulness faithfulness is not measured solely by how quickly we see result
29:46but by our continued trust and obedience to god now let me just add something you know um
29:53a little bit not on the topic but at the same time i think it's relevant it's not how
29:58you start the race it's how you finish the race it's how you finish the race you may start nice
30:03you may
30:04start all powerful with a bang but if you didn't finish the race you didn't win the race amen number
30:10five how can we speak the truth and live out without pretending presuming or fearing
30:18all right so we're going to be touching on scriptures of hebrews 10 verse 23 and james 2 verse 17
30:25so how should we speak when we are waiting for god to answer this is so important
30:32and in saying that for those who have not heard and i forgot to bring it with me today again
30:39but i've got
30:40it there in my room um if you want to know about that very important part what you say what
30:46comes
30:47out of your mouth go and get yourself the book that we released we released it just over six months
30:52ago if i'm not mistaken when you pray declare and dominate when you pray declare and dominate it's not
31:01about just declaring and getting what you want as you just heard here but it's declaring and decreeing
31:08what god has promised you what god has called you to fulfill if he has called you to fulfill and
31:17for
31:17whatever reason you have not received you keep declaring until you get it because it's in god's
31:22will for you to get it amen amen and that's why it's so important that you walk your walk your
31:28calling
31:29not somebody else's so hebrews 10 23 encourages us to hold firmly to our confession of hope because god is
31:37faithful this does not mean we pretend that something has already happened when it has not rather we can
31:44speak in line with god's word trust his character and remain steadfast in faith without denying reality
31:51or making false claims our actions should reflect what we say we believe faith is not about making
32:00declarations to force a particular outcome it is about trusting god speaking truthfully and living in
32:06obedience to him james 2 17 reminds us that faith without works is dead we should speak truthfully act in
32:15obedience and testify honestly when we see what god has done james 2 17 in the king james version even
32:23so
32:23faith if it hath not works is dead being alone
32:31let me give you a life analogy imagine someone standing beside a properly constructed bridge
32:41that has been assessed as safe for public use they explain to a friend that the bridge is strong
32:49enough to carry them across the river they can describe its construction discuss the materials used
32:55and confidently explain why they believe it will support their weight yet their confidence remains
33:03theoretical until they actually use the bridge when they need to cross their decision to walk across it
33:13reflects their willingness to act on the evidence they have
33:20however sensible trust does not mean ignoring warning signs pretending a damaged bridge is safe or claiming
33:27that confidence alone makes an unsafe structure secure that stupidity in the same way our words should
33:33reflect our trust in god and our actions should increasingly demonstrate that trust
33:42however however however hebrews hebrews 10 23 encourages us to hold firmly to our confession of hope because god is
33:54faithful
33:55james 2 17 teaches that faith without works is dead therefore we should speak in agreement with what scripture truly
34:04teaches
34:05act in obedience to god and remain steadfast in hope we must not pretend that an event has occurred when
34:12it has not
34:13or assume that declaring a desired outcome will force god to bring it to pass you're saying the same thing
34:18again george
34:19yes so we can get it because a lot of the times we've been to many churches in 19 ministry
34:27and we see people
34:33it's like zombies is going here and coming coming out of there engrave the word of god in your heart
34:40and
34:40you will become life to you right it will be it's a longevity of life not just for you but
34:46it brings it brings
34:47forth legacy keep going i don't say this to to to attack christians i know my calling i know that
34:55god's called
34:56me as an apostle i know i have i have an apostolic calling whether you believe in that or not
35:02it's in
35:03the bible but anyway um i know what my calling is and as such i care for the church i
35:11love the church
35:11the body of christ therefore i don't want the church to continue to be babyish and childish and continue to
35:18listen and just ah i want my next fix kind of like a druggie no it's not about that we
35:25would see a lot
35:25more power a lot more glory a lot more uh revival a lot more if we actually done this simple
35:32thing
35:32acted upon god's word it's so simple
35:37all right insane that let's get to our summary amen amen so the summary of everything we've just
35:46taught is this when trouble comes we are encouraged to draw near to god rather than withdraw from him
35:54today we have discovered that when trouble comes our response matters instead of allowing fear shame
36:02disappointment or uncertainty to drive us away from god we are encouraged to run to him knowing that he
36:09invites us invites us to draw nearer to his throne of grace for mercy and help hebrews 4 16 reminds
36:18us that
36:18we can approach god confidently through his grace while john 1 john 1 9 assures us that when we confess
36:27our sins he's faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness we must remember that
36:34not every difficulty is caused by personal sin and we should never assume that suffering automatically means god is displeased
36:43with us
36:44secondly we learned that there is a difference between mental agreement and active faith
36:50james chapter 1 verse 22 call us to be doers of the word not hearers only while james chapter 2
36:56verse 17
36:57teaches that faith without works is dead genuine faith should influence our decisions attitude relationships and
37:05actions even when obedience is difficult our works do not earn our salvation rather our obedience is a response
37:14to god's grace and an expression of the faith we profess profess thirdly peter's experience in matthew
37:2214 22 to 33 demonstrates that faith can involve taking a step in response or should involve taking a step
37:32in
37:33response to jesus's word when peter became frightened and began to sink he cried out lord save me and
37:40jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him peter's experience reminds us that active faith
37:46does not mean we will never experience fear or weakness when we struggle we can still call upon the lord
37:52and trust him to help us hopefully hebrews chapter 10 verse 23 encourages us to
37:59hold firmly to our hope because god is faithful why 2 corinthians chapter 5 verse 7 reminds us
38:07that we walk by faith and not by sight we do not need to depend entirely on our feelings or
38:13the
38:13circumstances we can presently see however trusting god does not mean assume does not mean
38:21let's not assume we shouldn't assume that every personal desire is a guaranteed promise
38:27or that every situation will unfold according to our expectations faith means trusting god's
38:35character seeking his wisdom and remaining faithful even when we cannot see the outcome
38:42fifthly fifthly we learned that our words and actions should reflect our trust in god hebrews 10 23 calls
38:52us to hold firmly to our confession of hope because god is faithful and james 2 17 reminds us that
38:59genuine
39:00faith must not remain merely theoretical we should speak truthfully stand upon what god has actually
39:07promised and demonstrate our faith through obedience we do not need to pretend that something has happened when
39:14it has not nor do we attempt to force a particular outcome through through our declarations instead
39:22we trust god's faithfulness follow his word and remain steadfast in hope so what is the central message of today's
39:31study
39:33it's when trouble comes run to god rather than deliberately withdraw from him when you know god's word seek to
39:40put it into practice
39:42when fear arises call upon jesus rather than surrendering to despair when you cannot see the outcome continue
39:49trusting god's faithfulness and when you speak about your faith let your words be truthful and your action
39:55demonstrate your obedience to god church brothers and sisters the goal is not to pretend that we never
40:03struggle the goal is to learn to trust god through our struggles growing our understanding in his word
40:11and become increasingly faithful in the way we live so let's move beyond simply agreeing with biblical truth
40:19and allow the truth to shape our lives when trouble comes don't run from god run to god
40:27amen all right let's finish with declaration prayer hallelujah father we thank you for your word and for your
40:37faithfulness thank you that we can draw near to you in our times of need and receive mercy and grace
40:45thank you lord for helping us not only to hear your word but to do it allowing your truth to
40:50shape our
40:51lives forgive us when we turn away from you and give us humble hearts that we are willing to confess
40:57our
40:57sins receive your mercy and walk in obedience yes lord you strengthen us when fear and uncertainty arise
41:06as you did with peter help us to call upon you when we struggle teach us to distinguish your promises
41:15from our own expectations and to trust you even when we cannot see the outcome so we decree and declare
41:22that we will draw near to god in times of trouble rather than deliberately turn away from him we decree
41:29and declare that we will not settle for hearing god's word alone we will seek to act upon his word
41:39we decree
41:39and declare when fear and uncertainty arise we will call upon the lord for help and wisdom we decree and
41:47declare that we will declare that we will trust god's faithfulness without assuming that every personal
41:51desire is a guaranteed promise we decree and declare we will speak truthfully act in obedience and remain
41:57steadfast in hope even when we cannot see the outcome we will continue to seek god learn from his
42:04word and allow our faith to shape how we live we will not merely hear the word by god's grace
42:10we will seek
42:11to live him we pray all this in the mighty name of jesus we pray amen amen and amen so
42:20run to god amen amen all
42:24right if you're new here and you have not made jesus your lord and savior this is not a coincidence
42:29this
42:30is a divine appointment you know god's word is very clear and it says
42:36in 1 john 5 4 to 5 for whatever is born of god overcomes the world and this is the
42:43victory that
42:44has overcome the world what our faith everybody puts their faith in something maybe you're putting
42:49your faith in gurus in money in your mentors in whatever but everybody puts their faith in something
42:56even atheists the very fact that they claim that they don't believe in something well they're believing
43:01in that statement alone so they're putting their faith in something and the bible goes on to say
43:06in verse 5 who is he who overcomes the world do you want to overcome the world do you want
43:11to overcome
43:11the the troubles in life and the struggles and the the real evil that keeps going on and and that
43:19really
43:20overwhelms us the only way you can overcome is only one way and the bible is very clear who is
43:26he who overcomes the world but he who believes that jesus is the son of god amen that's the only
43:33way there is no other way and in john 3 16 to 17 because a lot of people leave 17
43:41out it is very clear
43:42very famous bible verse says for god so loved the world talking about our god the father that he gave
43:49his only begotten son talking about jesus himself who volunteered to come and die for us
43:54the word goes on to say that whoever believes in him that whoever believes in him should not perish but
44:03have everlasting life for god this is so important but god did not send his son into the world condemn
44:10the
44:10world but that the world through him through jesus christ might be saved and that might part is not on
44:20his
44:20part it's not on him thinking don't know he's got his nose is too big no i'll leave him out
44:26no he's not
44:27oh she's nice and cute yep she's saved that's not god that might part is on you is on me
44:34it's only might
44:36if we don't believe in christ jesus if we don't put our faith in christ jesus finished work on the
44:42cross
44:43then you won't be saved you condemned yourself that's what the bible says it's not god god is not cruel
44:48you've condemned yourself it's as simple as that so what do i have to do one john 1 9 tells
44:54us
44:55amongst other verses if we confess our sins and sins in the most simplistic definition is when we try
45:02to live without god if you try to live without the lord jesus as your lord you are in sin
45:10because you
45:10are made in god's image you were made to be in relationship with god to represent him here on
45:16earth and when you don't have a relationship with god the reality is you're going to do everything the
45:21world tells you to do it's the truth and that's what sin is and the bible goes on to say
45:27he's faithful
45:29and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness he will wash you clean from
45:37all the unrighteousness okay you got me joe so what i have to do okay if you look at the
45:43screen you'll
45:44see very clearly romans 10 verses 9 to 10 is very clear about what you need to do that if
45:50you confess
45:50with your mouth the lord jesus and believe in your heart that god has raised him from the dead you
45:54will
45:55be saved there it is see he guarantees you salvation if you confess with your mouth the lord jesus if
46:02you
46:02make jesus your lord and savior and choose to believe because remember belief comes from a choice
46:08first that god has raised him from the dead you will be saved for with the heart man believeth unto
46:14righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation now we're going to pray together now
46:19but before we do titus 3 verse 5 ephesians 2 verse 8 acts 1 verse 8 amongst others then goes
46:26on to say
46:26it doesn't finish right there you get your salvation yes thank you jesus hallelujah by grace
46:31but then once you're saved he says there by grace through faith the gift of god washing
46:37away our sins and giving us the new joy of the indwelling holy spirit wow and you will receive
46:44power when the holy spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses telling people about me everywhere
46:50what is that that is what we call in the christian circles charismatic christian circles baptism of
46:57holy spirit and fire and god wants to bless you with that it's not just salvation salvation is eternal
47:03and it's fantastic and it's it's wow it's amazing but guess what we're still here on earth we have a
47:09mission to fulfill and we cannot fulfill that mission in flesh we need god's presence we need god's
47:16guidance we need god's protection jesus himself everything he did was by the leading of holy
47:23spirit is what by god's guidance likewise the baptism of holy spirit is you inviting him you
47:31basically invite him as you make the jesus your lord and savior and believe in your heart that god
47:35raised him from the dead god will bless you with holy spirit holy spirit the very spirit of god will
47:39come and live inside of you you become the temple the holy spirit's indwelling place that's why you end up
47:45getting joy of his indwelling presence in your life in fact the bible tells us in luke 17 that
47:52the kingdom of god is within us so he comes he fills you with his presence forever not just come
47:58whenever
47:58he feels like you he will live inside of you and he will guide you and protect you and correct
48:03you and
48:04lead you and and lead you through life and he comes bearing gifts too spiritual gifts weapons for the
48:12the world we are in the world we are in the world we are in the world we are in
48:14the world we are in the world
48:16we are in the world and evil wants to take down humanity evil wants humanity to go down with it
48:24because the war has been won but the battle is still going
48:29amen amen so let's pray together
48:33there is no generic prayer has to come from here has to come from your heart an intentional
48:39truthful cry out to God
48:42and all you need to do
48:44is pray like this
48:46from this day forward Jesus
48:48I make you my Lord and Savior
48:50I don't want to live without you anymore
48:53thank you for dying on that cross for me
48:54thank you for coming back to life
48:57and thank you from this day forward
48:59that I've been washed clean
49:00that I'm a new creation
49:03in Christ Jesus
49:04use my life for your glory Lord
49:06in Jesus name
49:08amen
49:09and now Jesus
49:12send your Holy Spirit
49:14fill us from head to toe
49:15inside and out
