00:19What we try to do at Goop is to curate, to edit, and to give context to things.
00:25We know that a woman's time is her most precious resource, and we want to multitask, get a lot done,
00:34and what we want to do is provide the best solutions.
00:39Do you think that you are anything remotely close to the common woman now?
00:43I am incredibly close to the common woman in that I am a woman, and I'm a mother, and we
00:48all are in a physical body with beating hearts, with compassion and love.
00:54We are all seekers. We all want questions. We all want fulfillment. We want to live our best lives.
01:01We want to be healthy and happy and squeeze the most that we can out of life. I think that's
01:07all women.
01:08You've taken some flack for being a little bit disconnected from the average woman.
01:12You know, I always say that when people make that false assumption, it's because they haven't actually gone to the
01:18site and see what we're selling and see what we're about.
01:21I mean, we have products on the site that are under $10. We have products on the site that are
01:28$500.
01:29I think the idea is that we're going to find the best thing, whatever it is, at any price point.
01:35So you've been described as a lifestyle guru. Is that how you see yourself?
01:40No. I see myself as an actor and a mother and as an entrepreneur.
01:47I don't see myself as a guru at all. I think that I'm building a lifestyle business.
01:52I'm not a guru because I feel like I'm the one asking the questions.
01:56You know, I'm not purporting to know anything. I'm just saying, asking this doctor or that nutritionist or, you know,
02:03this expert, hey, what is your take on this?
02:06Between actor and entrepreneur now at this stage of your life, which one do you think you're more of at
02:11this point?
02:12Well, I'm very focused this year on building my business.
02:15So that's my focus for 2015. But I would like to also find an acting project as well.
02:25But, you know, when you are trying to build a business like this, it really needs almost all of your
02:33time.
02:35And so I know it's a bit risky, but, you know, that's pretty much my focus for 2015.
