00:37The starting point whenever my friends, if we're getting ready at my place, is to start with a drink.
00:42I met Isha and Ritu when I first moved to New York. They were very kind and welcomed me into
00:47their circle,
00:48and now we all became really good friends. It's been awesome getting to know them over the years, and they're
00:53great.
00:58Physically, we are in my home. This is my living room.
01:01Yeah, we end up meeting here a lot and like working on songs, or we'll meet here before a show.
01:09We play in a band, and it's called Scully.
01:12So we all met in college.
01:14We became great friends from playing music together and just hanging out socially.

01:29We are in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, and we're just having fun, chilling at the house of Satine,
01:36and we're about to go to a few parties.
01:38The people that are here right now are Miss Queen Satine.
01:44She's my wife.
01:45Sussy, he's like sort of our child.
01:47I consider them my drag parents, because they taught me how to do all this crazy stuff.
01:50A lot of the love I have for them is for how much they've cared about what I do.
01:56I think we like to create good energy before our shows,
01:59and like be positive and like supportive of each other or whatever,
02:02because sometimes we might be like nervous about our show depending on what it is.
02:05And like remember that we're doing this because we like to have a good time together
02:09and like not forget that part of it.
02:11It can be so stressful doing your makeup under pressure
02:15with another person next to you under the same amount of pressure.
02:19We are like warriors of peacocking.
02:24The sari is probably the most traditional Indian outfit,
02:27and our parents aren't close by, so they're not here to give us comments
02:31on how it looks and whether we tied it right.
02:34So it's nice to have your other Indian girlfriends around
02:36to kind of give you thoughts on what is working and what's not working.

02:46I think like my friends are so beautiful.
02:48I think they're the most beautiful people that I've met in my life.

02:54Sometimes your family doesn't accept you for who you are,
02:57but if you find a family of friends, they're your sisters.

03:04and make you feel like you look beautiful in whatever you're wearing.
