Transcript
00:00Hi, I'm Jessica Alba and you are watching Refinery29.
00:13No filter, to the point, not thinking about what you're saying, raw.
00:19I would probably have to say my grandmother and my mother.
00:23I was raised by both of them.
00:25They were not afraid to be super feminine and kick butt.
00:31I was a total tomboy when I was a kid.
00:33I would dress up in crazy outfits with my mom, but then I was out there with the boys
00:39and I was pissed because they wouldn't pick me until last.
00:42It was like, oh, you get the girl on the team.
00:45But I was the star player.
00:49I went through that low jean.
00:51The crotch to the top of the jean was there.
00:55Literally, if you made any movement, you would see your chonies.
01:00My four-year-old in particular comes out with some zingers.
01:03I told Haven that she needed to go to bed because it was past her bedtime.
01:08And she goes, Mom, you don't know my life.
01:11And I was like, uh, I created your life, kid.
01:17Where did she get that?
01:19What's my favorite dance move?
01:21It really depends on what beverage I'm consuming.
01:24The champagne dance move, and then there's like the tequila dance move.
01:28The champagne dance move is more like a body sway, right?
01:33And I can't do the tequila dance move.
01:35It's a little too aromatic.
01:38Makeup.
01:40Salty.
01:42Sparkling.
01:44Flats these days.
01:46The number one advice I could give to young girls who want to be a boss is act like one.
01:51Don't be afraid to speak your mind.
01:53The worst thing you can do is to not try.
01:57Not use your voice.
01:58Get in the back of the line.
01:59Push yourself towards the front.
02:01You deserve to be there, just like anybody else.
