00:01This is Triple Threat.
00:02In today's episode, we're going to test a variety of eyebrow products that claim to be
00:05universal for a bunch of different skin tones.
00:07I don't do my brows all the time.
00:10I waxed them twice in college and I went once and it was amazing and then I went again and
00:15she was gone.
00:17Oh no!
00:18So I was like, nope, never again.
00:19But now that I have a big girl job and have to be presentable, I put on makeup and do
00:24my brows.
00:25You can't see my brows.
00:26I'm very conscious of that.
00:28This is the first time I've ever left a house without putting my eyebrows on.
00:30When I first started doing my brows, I was like 13 or 14.
00:35My mom was concerned that I was not, I did not look like a little girl anymore so she started
00:40to shape them for me but then I started doing them myself and I got very out of control very
00:44quickly and I obviously took too much hair off and she told me very early in our process
00:49doing this, she was like, don't take too much hair off, you're going to want these brows
00:53and I regret now that I went so hard with the tweezers.
00:57Let's get into doing our brows.
00:59I'm going to start doing my brows first.
01:01First thing I do is kind of run my spoolie through them.
01:04I use the ABH Brow Ways in Ebony which is kind of dark for me when I have braids in
01:09because
01:09I feel like the braids, they're a lot of a look, you know, and I just need some thicker
01:14eyebrows to frame my face.
01:15I start out in the middle where like my natural brows are a little bit thicker anyway and I
01:21don't really touch the tip because I like that faded look.
01:26And then the most shaping that I do is on the top.
01:30Start out a little bit thicker and when I get to like where the peak is before it goes down,
01:35I start to kind of like round out the line I'm making and that's pretty much my brow.
01:41This one is my problem eyebrow, like this is, you know, sisters not twins.
01:45This is like cousin far removed.
01:53After I do that, I use clear brow gel just to like keep them together because I don't
01:59wax my eyebrows and again, they're pretty unruly up close.
02:03This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel.
02:06The clear is really like forgiving.
02:08So some brow gels have color and like you can totally see if you like mess up.
02:13Yeah, yeah.
02:14This is like, I can just go like woo.
02:15What can you go like?
02:17Woo!
02:20Next up, I use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Amande.
02:25That's what it's called.
02:26And I only do it on the bottom of my brow.
02:28And I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills brush in 20.
02:32So I dip that into my concealer.
02:35I don't draw a complete line.
02:37Like I kind of go at the edge and then go down.
02:39Then I use my ring finger and just like lightly blend that in.
02:44So that is my brow routine.
02:51So my brow routine, to me it's kind of lazy.
02:53I don't really, it just like can slap some pencil on really quick and then I lay my unruly
02:57hairs down.
02:58But I also use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Ebony.
03:03But I start with combing them up and then I just make hair like strokes with the pencil
03:11to find the places I feel are a little sparse.
03:14I also don't like to fill my brow in like all the, like my little, I like these little
03:18like tail end things that come all the way down here.
03:20But because they're so bushy, I just like to just stop like right, like right here.
03:25And I feel like that looks a little more natural to me.
03:27And then I use a clear brow gel from NYX to make sure that the unruly hairs are laying down.
03:35So my left brow is my problem brow.
03:38You know who also has a problem brow?
03:39Now Beyonce.
03:40And I think about that because this, she, I have a hair that like sticks up all the time
03:45and so does she.
03:46So it always makes me feel better.
03:47And that's it for me.
03:52I used to use Anastasia and now I use the Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil.
03:57Just realizing that it's called Goof Proof.
04:00I love that it's slanted.
04:02Yeah.
04:02I do the opposite of you guys.
04:03I kind of want them to be like filled in and fuzzy if that makes sense.
04:06I brush them out.
04:08I brush them kind of slanted and then down here I curve at the corner.
04:13I usually start at the bottom and try to go from the corner of my eye up.
04:18Sometimes I end up out here and then I pull away and I'm like whoa.
04:23So I try to get to the bottom and just do go straight over.
04:29I don't really have much over here but I try to go where like the like little ends of the
04:36hairs are and take the slanted point and go to the pointy side and just place it and
04:42then do like a straight line all the way to the top of the arch here.
04:47Wait.
04:47It doesn't bother you that you're like brushing against the...
04:50No.
04:51That actually irritates me.
04:52Is it like nails on a chalkboard?
04:54It's not nails on a chalkboard but it's just so strange I'm like well how will she
04:57get them to lay back down?
04:58Yeah, no.
04:59If I do that it's done.

05:01Every day I have to like wash my face like...
05:04Start over.
05:05And then that's kind of it.
05:06Oh wow.

05:08And then it's over.
05:13So these were all of our brow routines and now we're going to be trying the Universal
05:16Brow Products.
05:17First up is the Bare Minerals Brow Master.
05:20It's a pomade with a brush and it is in the color Universal Tote.
05:26Which is a bold bold claim.
05:28Universal everybody.
05:31Okay.
05:32Nope.
05:32This is a nay.
05:33Wait.
05:34So not only am I not covering any of my bald patches but this coloring is
05:38just ashy.
05:39How are you supposed to move this product?
05:41It's dry.
05:42It's super quick.
05:43I like it on you actually because it's very pretty.
05:45That looks good.
05:45You perfect that shape.
05:47So taupe is your jam.
05:48Taupe is my jam.
05:49And is anything even happening on my eyebrow?
05:52This one.

05:53It looks like a highlight almost.
05:54You should keep it maybe for that reason.
05:56I honestly would just change the color if this were a deeper brown suited for someone
06:00with a deeper skin tone like mine.
06:02I would love it because I love the way it makes my brows look.
06:05I love that it's laying down the hairs but this color is just unforgivable.

07:09So for our last pencil, we're going to be using the Ofra Eyebrow Pencil in the color Universal.

08:01But this is my better eyebrow and it doesn't have as many patches.

08:07I would give it like a maybe like a like a soft.

08:24So for our final product we are using the Givenchy Mr. Brow Groom.
08:29And it's a universal brow setter in the color transparent.
08:32I like this good little brush though.

08:37It's gonna like get in the good places.
08:40I feel like it's like plumping them up.
08:42And they look a little shiny but not in a way that bothers me.
08:47It also made the greasy pencil, the Orpher one, look more natural.
08:52Yeah.
08:52Way better now.
08:54But it makes the IT Cosmetics one look really smooth and soft.
08:58I also just can't get over the detail of that brush.

09:05This is my new favorite eyebrow.

09:21I am actually going to swap out my Anastasia and my NYX for the IT Cosmetics and the Givenchy.
09:29I was never truly sold on the Anastasia brow pencil.
09:33But this I love and I think this is my new favorite thing.
09:38I am like a part of the cult following for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.
09:45With that being said, even though I love this guy, IT Cosmetics worked.
09:51And it made my problem brow my good brow.
09:54That is the key.
09:56It did that, yes.
09:57I forgot that my left brow was problematic when I used this.
10:00I like the fact that it is hard and I feel like I won't use as much of it.
10:05Like it'll last me longer.
10:06And I also want to steal Sloane's like mapping out of my arch and like where it should start
10:12on the inside and like the end.
