01:06environment the technology you've built so far has been focused on working in extreme heat but to
01:13survive the cold you'll need to upgrade this brings the action back to the ground level
01:20how you travel manage temperature and fight will be key to your progress
01:29you'll need resources found only in the polar cap if you hope to craft new survival gear
01:37the tundra is more habitable than the ice cap but that doesn't mean you're welcome this is where the
01:44wealthy water shipper families have set up their lavish strongholds and they don't want competition
01:51but this is just the first biome the water shipper family's most prized territory is the ice cap itself
01:57it is heavily guarded and getting in will be one of your main goals
02:05once you're inside survival is not easy but the rewards are worth it
02:14you already know how important water is to survive on arrakis here you can harvest it as ice and use
02:20it to cool your base equipment speeding up production this is pivotal because we're also releasing new
02:26vehicle modules new augments and specialization traits in this free expansion the polar cap has around 35
02:33hours of progression you can return for more ice and future updates will give you more reasons to come back
02:40a lot of care has gone into creating a new expansion to arrakis and we're excited to see you take

02:45first steps on the tundra and ice cap we want to keep this and future updates free for players which
02:53takes us to our next point how we'll support the game going forward we are introducing a new cosmetic
03:00store you'll find new outfits vehicle variants and more ways to customize your bases selling these
03:06optional cosmetics will help us support continued development and free updates to the game the
03:11cosmetic store will start with rotating items and to celebrate the release of dune part 3 in december
03:17we are adding new items taken directly from the films as the store grows we'll make the full back
03:23catalogue available so you can purchase what you want when you want it we're also expanding our in-game
03:32events right now the scourge is live you'll investigate a disease spreading across arrakis
03:39and shortly after the blood and ice expansion launches we will release a new event called the
03:45water crisis there you'll fight for scarce water supplies and work to end the shortage
03:52these are our biggest events yet they include new gameplay and even new locations in the future we'd
03:59like to do more events giving you more reasons to keep coming back to arrakis they will feature
04:04unique stories as well as free rewards with the blood and ice expansion we're releasing a new events tab
