Transcript
00:00Hey, I'm Zach.
00:01And I'm Lauren.
00:02And this month is Pride Month.
00:04I'm a big proponent of wearing rainbow makeup,
00:06and I think wearing bright colors for Pride Month
00:09is the perfect way to express my joy and love for the community.
00:13And I think now, more than ever, is the perfect opportunity
00:17to really go bold.
00:19We're just going to create these really fun and inspired looks
00:21and hope that you will try this at home, too.
00:24So stick around, because we're about to go from this to this.
00:30Real quick, Lauren, your plan of action.
00:32I think I'm going to actually try to do some sort of spectrum
00:35rainbow thing on my eyes.
00:37And then maybe pull in a crazy ombre lip.
00:40What are you thinking?
00:40I think with this look, especially if you're
00:42going to go to the Pride Parade or the drag march,
00:46you're going to really need to set this makeup.
00:47It's June.
00:48It's hot outside.
00:49You don't want to sweat it off.
00:50So I'm going to go full baking with this.
00:53Get that shellacked down and ready for the sun.
00:56So I'm just going in with this Krylon TV paint stick.
01:01And me, I'm going to start prepping my eyes for the rainbow
01:04explosion that's going to happen on them in a couple of minutes.
01:07I'm just going to apply a little bit of red to my beard
01:10to sort of cancel out the beard.
01:12So then I can go back over it and cover it up.
01:14This is what a lot of drag queens do
01:15to get rid of that 5 o'clock shadow.
01:17And it's because your hair looks sort of blue
01:19when it's going through light skin.
01:21So the red helps cancel it out like on a color wheel.
01:24So I'm just starting with red.
01:26And I'm just sort of fanning it out.
01:29You're working on your eyes.
01:30I'm doing my base.
01:31I'm going in with a shade lighter than my actual foundation
01:36just to give myself some highlights.
01:38And I'll blend this all out.
01:39I started out with this rainbow eye
01:41by just putting an eye shadow primer on.
01:44And this just helps all the colors really stand out
01:47and be really pigmented and bright.
01:49And so I've just been going through
01:51my different rainbow palettes
01:53and picking them in order of a traditional rainbow.
01:56I'm doing red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink.
01:59Roy G. Biff.
02:00Roy G. Biff.
02:01I'm ready to go into the eyes.
02:03So my rainbow is pretty much,
02:04the base of it is complete.
02:06Oh my God, that looks so good.
02:07I'm going to do like a rainbow swipe
02:09over both of the eyes.
02:11That's cool.
02:12That's cool.
02:12So I'm just going to paint this over my real eyebrows.
02:16Oh, Lauren.
02:18This blue.
02:19What is this palette again?
02:20This is Smashbox.
02:21Could you imagine like a cute gay mermaid
02:23like coming up to you and be like,
02:25Hey.
02:27I want to be a gay mermaid.
02:29I am a cute gay mermaid.
02:30So I'm going to wipe off that baking powder.
02:32Who's she?
02:34Who's she?
02:34What does she want?
02:35What are her wants?
02:36I don't know her.
02:37Now for my brows,
02:39I'm going to use the white eyeliner as a base.
02:41What I'm doing is trying to do an ombre lip.
02:43I started with the purple base.
02:45And then I'm just sort of adding layers of blue in the center.
02:47And I want it to be sort of lighter blue in the middle,
02:49fading out to purple.
02:50One really great tip that I've learned for applying lashes
02:54is just applying a little bit of lash glue on your hand.
02:58And then you take the lash.
03:01And I just sort of dab it.
03:02And that always seems to be the perfect amount of lash glue.
03:06And you also want to let it sit for a minute
03:08and let it get a little bit tacky before you apply.
03:12I'm just very gently placing the eyelash
03:17right along that lash line.
03:19So I've got a black liner on now
03:21just to sort of really pull out my eyes
03:25because I'm not going to do fake lashes.
03:27So I want something bold and black by my eyes
03:30to really sort of like make them stand out.
03:32Now I'm going to go ahead and contour out the sides of my face.
03:36I'm going to go ahead and add this really pretty pink.
03:40And I'm just going to use my beauty blender to go ahead.
03:45Now I'm going to go in and do an ombre purple lip.
03:49I feel like if I had like a rainbow wig,
03:51this look would be amazing.
03:54For the final touch, I'm going to do a glitter mustache.
03:58Ah!
03:59And I'm using a glue stick.
04:01Glue sticks aren't necessarily made for this face,
04:03so do this at your own risk.
04:05But this is a washable, skin-safe kids glue stick.
04:09A lot of drag queens use when they're doing their makeup.
04:11So it will wash out pretty easy.
04:14Milk has these really fun stamps.
04:17I have a smiley face stamp.
04:19Oh my god.
04:19Do you want a little...
04:19Will you hit me with a smiley face like right here?
04:22Definitely.
04:24Adorable.
04:25Yeah.
04:26Oh my god.
04:27Cute.
04:27Where do you want it?
04:28Same place.
04:31Cute.
04:31Ooh.
04:32I think if you're going to do this look, you got to step it up a notch.
04:35You ready to step it up a notch, Zach?
04:37Yes.
04:38Let's do it.
04:39Ah!
04:40Who's she?
04:41Oh, who's she?
04:43I feel fabulous.
04:44I feel fabulous.
04:45All pride, all love, ready to go march with my brothers and sisters
04:49and celebrate all of our achievements.
04:51And we hope we've inspired you to take a few risks with your makeup and get fully rainbow
04:56and have some fun.
04:57Have some fun and happy pride.
04:59Happy pride.
