Brave Siblings Rescue Kittens from Drowning During Flood Alert

On May 15, 2021, a courageous brother and sister saved two kittens from potential drowning outside their residence in Uvalde, Texas, amid a flash flood warning. While Adolfo Herrera was working and listening to music, he became aware of a peculiar sound. Upon investigating, he discovered it was the cries of a kitten. Quickly, he and his sister dashed outside to rescue the animals. With rain pouring down, they found one kitten struggling in the water, and after rescuing it, they heard more meowing from behind a barrel in their backyard. After lifting the barrel, they retrieved the second kitten, ensuring there were no others in danger. The kittens were trembling from the cold, and the siblings warmed them up with a bath and towels. Eventually, their mother’s meows led them to realize it was their neighbor's cat.
