00:03Hi, my name is Michelle Corsi. I'm here today with Hannah to talk to you about all the essential
00:07makeup brushes that every girl should have and to give you some tips on how to use them.
00:12So these are the seven brushes that I'm using today. The first brush is the Mac 138 brush.
00:16The second brush is Stila number 33 brush. The third brush is the NARS Kabuki blush brush. The
00:23fourth brush is the MAC 217 brush. The fifth brush is the MAC 212 brush. The sixth brush is the
00:32Kevin
00:33Aquan small eyeshadow slash eyebrow brush. And last is the lip brush, the Cosette P325. First things
00:42first, you need a foundation and a concealer brush. Generally, when you deal with foundation and
00:46concealer, you want a synthetic bristle or any kind of creamy product. I really like this one by Stila,
00:51the number 33, because it has this like dome pointy shape. And that really helps you get
00:56into the crevices between the nose and under the eyes. And also it has a little concealer brush on
01:01the other side, so it's a two in one. When you apply things using a foundation brush, you just want
01:06to put a tiny little bit generally in the back of your hand, smooth it out, and then start smoothing
01:12over the face. Start in the center of the face, work your way out, and just work it into the
01:18skin.
01:20Start with a little, and then build up to a lot. Don't slap a whole lot on. The whole idea
01:24behind a
01:24foundation brush is to really just be able to work it into the skin little bit by little bit.
01:30And don't be afraid to kind of pat things in with your fingers as well. Fingers are, at the end
01:34of the
01:35day, the ultimate beauty tool. For our next brush, we have a bronzer slash powder brush. This is the
01:43MAC 138 brush. It has the same like dome shape like the foundation brush had, and it's also a natural
01:48bristle brush. Generally, when you're using powder and dry products, you want natural bristles.
01:53Next, you need a really good blush brush. This one is by NARS. It's part of the Kabuki collection,
01:58and it has this also really amazing shape. I really like to put quite a bit of product on the
02:02brush,
02:03and then tap quite a bit of it away. Next brush is an eyeshadow brush. This is a MAC 217
02:08brush,
02:09and it has, it's a little bit fluffier than you might be used to. This is really great for blending
02:13out eye color, because you don't want eye color to be too hard. And if you, especially if you're
02:17doing a smokey eye, this is amazing for blending things out. I have three of these in my kit. I
02:21use
02:21it all the time. Try and start near the eyelid, and I kind of like to put the color up
02:25about to the
02:26crease. Just kind of work it into the eye socket. Just blend out the color a little bit at a
02:32time.
02:32Start with a little bit, and then gradually add more. Next up is the liner brush. This is the MAC
02:36212 brush. It's great. It's a flat liner brush, which you might not have seen before. And it
02:41helps you get right up into the lash line, which creates the illusion of a thicker lashes,
02:44which is amazing, especially for everyday makeup. Next up, we have the pencil brush. This is a
02:49Kevin Kwan brush. They call it the small eyeshadow slash eyebrow brush. I use it more to blend in
02:55the eyeliner. This is a great brush. I'm going to take a brown eyeshadow. You can use any color
03:00you want. And I'm just going to be getting right into the lash line. We're keeping this look
03:04pretty natural, so I'm not doing anything too dramatic. But if you wanted to, this is a great
03:08brush to really just smoke things out. It's pretty subtle here. It makes a little bit more of a
03:15difference if you're doing a smokier eye or a stronger color. It just helps give the illusion of a
03:20thicker lash line. For our last brush, we have the Cosette lip brush. This is the P235. It has a
03:25great
03:25shape, this kind of oval shape, and it has just enough give to it. When you're doing a lip, you
03:30don't
03:30want a brush that's too stiff or too soft, especially if you're going for that really
03:33fine line if you're doing a really gorgeous red lip or anything like that. On Hannah right
03:37now, we're going to be doing more of just a pinky lip, but it's pretty bright. So these
03:42are my recommendations for the seven makeup brushes that every girl should have.
